Quality feedback from personal experiences assists forums member make informed decisions when rebuilt engine purchases have to be made. Not sure why Qik1 wont share his personal experience and what he found upon disassembly with his Atomic engine? Secret squirrel stuff?

  12. Wheel Bearing failure on these cars will 9 times out of 10 be due to water ingress! Check Dust Cap for holes and if sound place a small smear of silcone sealant around lip prior to refitting. Water will find its way in if your too lazy to use sealant when refitting the Dust Cap

  14. Hey Senna, Im getting all front control arm bushes replaced this Wed on my BF Typhoon. What L & R Camber and what L & R Toe settings does Wholesale Suspension typically wheel align BF Typhoons too with stock OEM suspension? My car has been badly wearing the inner edges of both fronts the drivers side the worst! Presently my L Toe has been +0.7mm and R Toe has been +0.8mm Presently my L Camber is - 0 54' and R Camber is - 0 56' Presently my L Castor is +7 11' and R Castor is +6 59' Cheers
  15. Ok ... will do bloke. Do you know what caused the damage to the Piston skirts and number 1 bearing in the first Atomic Motor? What did Atomic say when they rebuilt it? Lets know when you have the beast on the road again

  17. Thanks for the feedback bloke ... much appreciated! Bloody hell only 8000km and a failed # 1 bearing as well as piston skirt damage on all 6 Pistons!!!! Sounds like you had to pay for all this work? Why no warranty from either Atomic or SVS????? Hope all is sweet now and you have no further issues
  18. Hey bloke, What made you send the engine back to Atomic??? Thought it woz a freshly rebuilt Atomic engine? What work or upgrades have now been made internally while it was at Atomic? Is it still a 698GTA engine spec? Look forward to seeing it back in action
  19. Your a brave man taking it on a big trip like that ... hope the ZF issues aren't hardware related and you do damage to the box! Be very interesting to find out why its only having issues at WOT yet part throttle shifts are fine ... keep us all posted bloke Cheers
  20. If I was you I'd cruise south for 6 hrs and visit Dave @ CPV Tuning in Mackay bloke. He'll quickly ascertain if the issue is software related or not and fix your fluxuating power delivery at WOT too. Must be such a piss off only having it half done like this! Cheers
  21. Good to hear. Shame the "boys" didn't recommend and fit a stronger flex plate in the first place
  22. Bloke make sure you get ARP flexplate bolts as well for the stock ones are made of sh*t metal! Torque the ARP flexplate bolts to 80ft/lb with some 242 loctite applied sparingly. Ive run a Nizpro laminated flexplate installed as above for the last 3 yrs with no issues Cheers

  24. Bloke I doubt redesigning the front wheels 100mm forward on an FG platform for better balance and handling from where they presently are now would increase vehicle weight by 100kg. It would increase vehicle weight SFA, give better balance/handling and have a much tougher stance side on!!!
