  1. Haha that's nice. I might try this idea instead..
  2. Has anybody had aftermarket bonnet gauges installed to their turbo? If so please shed some light to this thread...
  3. Thanks for the tip mate ? According to that website the lowest profile is 30 on a 245 -255 tyre. Was hoping for a 25. Owell. Haha..
  4. Did you take the car to the track? Also how much power is it pushing? Is it your daily? Car looks good. You got a side on pic of it?
  5. I suppose it all depends on what your level of harshness is mate. I reckon the difference between the factory 17"s to the current 20"s aren't as bad at all considering the difference in rolling diameter. Then again I don't have high expectations in regards to comfort with a fg that has 20"s anyway..
  6. What was your suspension set up? Also how did your issue get fixed under warranty when they don't come from factory sitting on bump stops?
  7. Not too sure what you mean by ruff. I dont feel any difference from the stock 17" wheels that were on there with a 45 profile. Small pots holes and I get no different feel .
  8. yeah today they were cut at the first knuckle and it still seems to be still sitting on the bump stops. Maybe they should be cut at the next knuckle from that or completely remove them?
  9. Currently got 245/35/20 on the Fg. Does anyone know if you are able put a lower profile tyre on. Say 245/25/20 or so? also with narrow side wall how would the speedo be corrected? any feedback would be muchly appreciated. cheers.
  10. Fg xr6-t has been recently lowered with SSL fronts and SSSL rears. Had a look underneath and the rear is sitting on the bump stops. Is that bad to be riding on bump stops? Should I take the bump stops off completely? any opinions would be muchly appreciated. Cheers.
  11. Not difficult at all. Just don't let the turbo spool up to a strong boost level and you won't get flutter.
  12. A cruise in South East suburbs? Yeh or neh?
  13. FPV Dark agents 20"s
  14. Hey mate I've had my bov blocked in my fg xr6t. Personally I like the sound of it not like the ricers that have the pssshhhhtttt sound. If your after that ricey sound buy a aftermarket bov which will set you back a couple hundred bucks. (A rip off for the money). Most aftermarket bovs give the pshhhtt sound anyway The car is pushing around 279rwkw and with a blocked bov it sounds like the old school vls. Loudness depend on how much boost the turbo spools and the air temp plays a big role in it. Warmer air temp the flutter ain't loud at all. But in the colder winter months it is quite obvious. Once again depending on high your revs are and boost levels. It all depends on what sound you are after and I personally prefer the flutter much better than the pshhhtt. Anyway hope that helps dude.
  15. Hey dude have you had a run through of the older threads in here? Theres a fair few of posts on lowered fg utes....
  16. Haha. Using my mobile to put a username in and dont know wtf I pressed.
  17. Hey mate first post. I have SSL in front on my fg xr6 t. In my opinion it still sits too high. I have SSSL ar rear and the rear gurad sits about 10 -15mm under the tyre. Stock shocks all around. I will be getting it dropped abit more becuae that is the look that I am after. I can put up a pic if that helps. Cheers
