Hey guys, Figured I'd post my story because I've seen a little debate regarding the factory oil pumps in the FG F6s and failure. And also some feedback on what I've committed to. Before the oil pump failed on my 2009 FG SCT handheld tuner Herrod hose upgrade X-force 4"-3.5" Bigger injectors Machined manifold KnN filter Bigger waste gate Having 352KW at the wheels on 17psi and 335KW at 14psi Long story short I was giving it a hard time on a weekend cruise and hard the "low oil pressure" light appear on the dash. Unfortunately due to my location I had to limp it a few km to a safe location. Later to find the oil pump had failed leading to the destruction of my head, turbo ect.. I apologise for my lack of mechanical knowledge btw. Fast forward to now I have committed to an: Atomic long motor Gtx-3582r turbo And NPC clutch And everything necessary for the above. Was curious if the was much I could do with the old motor? What kind of power would this combination put out? But most importantly what I need to be looking for to make sure it's going to be sound? Also my advice is replace a factory oil pump its a small cost but saves a lot in the long run Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
