Just about to get a set of coils. I assume the genuine Ford ones would be the best? But just looking at these genuine ones on ebay: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Genuine-Ford-BF-Falcon-Ignition-Coils-Set-Of-6-All-4-0L-Engines-XR6-XT-RTV-F6-/151949507235 and the listing says "NOT RECOMMENDED FOR MODIFIED TURBO'S RUNNING HIGHER THAN FACTORY BOOST" - is this true? Is there a different brand that are better? I'm running 14psi. Cheers.

My car has been tuned about 18 months ago, I've got the X4, full exhaust, front mount, running max 14psi. Been running perfectly until a couple of weeks ago. When I accelerate hard it takes off until it seems to be about full boost and then it loses power and sounds like it's missing/hitting rev limiter or something. If I back off slightly so it's just under full boost, all good car accelerates fast like normal, and perfectly smooth. I couldn't see anything obvious with a vacuum hose come off or anything. Plugs are like new, and I just got it serviced. Any ideas would be appreciated. Maybe there's a way I can log some useful info or something on the X4, but no errors come up etc.

I've got it connected to constant power, if it did prove to be an issue I'd move it to accessory power. Considering the phone won't be drawing significant current all the time, just when the battery needs to top up. I did a quick calculation and the car battery should last for a month or so without being driven before it would be flat.

I wanted a cheap way to track my car with GPS. In case anyone else wants to do something similar, here's the details. I looked at a few options, but ended up just getting a cheap 2nd hand android phone from ebay. Sony Xperia running android 4.4 for $25 is what I got. I also got a 12v usb adapter for around $4 also on ebay. Aldi has 365 day expiry pre paid recharges starting from $15, so that's perfect. Then all I had to do was wire the USB adapter up to the battery and hide it and the phone somewhere in the car. Install Where's My Droid app on the phone and now I can text the phone in the car and get a text with the Google Maps link as a reply.

Sounds like NPC is the way to go then. How difficult is it to install yourself? Anything particularly hard to remove, or line up properly etc? and how much would I expect to pay to get it installed at a shop? I have fitted a silvia clutch before, but I was doing an engine swap too so the engine/box were out of the car at the time.

Anyone tried, or know how well Exedy, or Xtreme clutch kits perform? eg http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Exedy-Heavy-Duty-CLUTCH-KIT-FORD-FALCON-FG-XR6-TURBO-Inc-SMF-Flywheel-/331410499091 or http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Xtreme-Heavy-Duty-Clutch-Kit-Ford-Falcon-BA-BF-6-Cyl-XR6-Turbo-Inc-Flywheel-/321661590893

How much power should be OK with the stock clutch? Last couple of days mine has started slipping, it's ok in 1st or 2nd, wheels will spin before the clutch slips, but after that, clutch slips :S Recommendations for a replacement clutch (hopefully without spending too much:S) to handle 450rwhp? Thanks!

Bf 6 Speed Manual Difficult To Find Reverse

I got the multimeter onto the cable that plugs into the solenoid. It's around 12v when ignition is on, and changes by about 0.3volts when the clutch is pressed. Does this confirm that things are working otherwise and it's a faulty solenoid, or should I be checking something else? Thanks. -
The car is completely different now. The boost controller had been disconnected and bypassed too for some reason from when I got it. So before that was connected back in it would sit on 6psi. Now straight to 14psi, so much more responsive.
