  6. Endless ME20's are great for track use with the 4 piston Brembos. They are pretty noisy for the street though....they give great bite from cold. I run DBA5000 two piece rotors as well.
  7. Hi aceline. I have done quite a few nights at Wanneroo with No Limits Car Club with my FG F6. I fitted Tein coilovers and bought a set of 18" (9.5" rear and 8.5" front) and run 265 on the rear with either 235 or 245 on the front. The Tein suspension made a HUGE difference to the car and made it possible to minimise understeer - they are quite a bit stiffer than the standard suspension though - even when adjusted to full soft - so bear that in mind. I run the 18's as it (as others have mentioned) gives you a much greater range of R comp tyres to choose from. As a bang for your buck (and life) equation the Federal RS 595's are excellent. I have also run Bridgestone Potenza RE55S (medium) and they offer much greater grip and feel but last about 1/4 of the track time compared to the Federals. It all depends on how fast you want to go and how much you want to spend - the old equation ! If you want to see how my car feels with the Teins PM me and you're welcome to come for a ride. Depending on what tyre you choose I may be able to put you in contact with some good people as well. Hope this may help in your decisions.....
  8. Paul, what exhaust set up did you go for??
  9. If you are in WA, why not consider my BA2 F6, check it out here if you wish: http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/priva...604&trecs=2
  10. TerryF, They're still on the car - which is for sale. So sorry can't sell the wheels separately!
  11. Thanks guys for your help. I have just managed to find the G Max Boston (M100) that just fits in the required size. I have to say I like the look of them so much against the Nitro Paint that I'm thinking of buying a set of 20's for the street! Lowering the car with a Tein (sp?) kit is next on the agenda week after next. In my trials I began to think that the fitment had changed for the FG - but managed to fit a 18*8 from my BA2 F6 on the front of the FG - so if anyone is interested it seems the fitment HAS NOT changed from BA/BF etc.
  12. I have since found out that somewhere during BF, FPV changed the rims to have the same offset front and rear - so that is no longer an issue. I have now tried two different rims that are advertised as "Brembo Clearance" and they go NO WHERE NEAR FITTING over the front caliper. I need 18" rims and prefer 8.5" front and 9.5" rear widths - that will fit. Anyone with any experience of fitments to the FG yet??
  13. Hi People. I need to source a set of 18" rims (as most R spec rubber is really only available up to 18" at the moment) for my FG F6. I have the standard 4 pot Brembo calipers. Now the question arises - which rims will fit the FG and what are the consequences of putting the same off set rim on the front and rear of the car (rather than the different off sets that FPV's usually run)? Or should I stump the extra money and buy "custom" rims that have the same offset as the standard rims but 18" ilo 19" standard size? Also, can I go up in wheel width, to say a 9 or 9.5" width? Any advice would be appreciated.
  14. Thanks guys - I am! Involved in Targa West today and the next few - so should get a few kays up. Tab - that's what I would have thought but even with the car locked for a few minutes - you can just walk up and push the fuel door and it opens??????
  15. Hi Guys, finally picked mine up yesterday. Penko - I know how you feel - I've been waiting four months and was in Queensland on Monday when I finally got the call. It doesn't yet have 100km on it, but feels very strong and I can relate to what others have said with regards to being very touchy on the throttle and steering wheel adjustment range too low. At this stage it looks like the fuel cap does not lock either! I may stand corrected once I explore all the detail changes. Pat, thanks for all the "SIDO where the hell am I's"!
