At the rear of the ute behind the bumper there is a wiring harness taped up it looks to be a couple of meters. Any ideas what it is for?

I live in a country town and to go to the shops is only 1klm. So my points for the gearbox IAG are set for slow. When I go to the bigsmoke 'Canberra' the car is slow to downshift. If I use pref mode is that detuned as well. So how can I keep the car responsive. In fact it can be dangerous, with all the rain yesterday when I kept pushing the go pedal it was slowly increasing speed and it suddenly kicked down and the ute went sideways.

If I check my diary I find I was 30 once. I have only just got my T and drive it like the clappers out in the bush where I live, have my quad bike for some more fun and a ACTA member, my mind has always been 18 but alas my body is 72. It doesn't stop me from full speed ahead. If I were 30 the only worry would be what are the pollies going to :censored:up next happy birthday

Anyone else have squeaky rear springs. It was OK when new I have done 4K klms and noise started in the last 1K. I was going to spray with WD40 but I thought that it would attract dust and make it worse.

I am lucky because I retired 16 years ago. But to be enabled to do that I worked for my self from the age of 21. No super no penalty rates no 5 days a week. But the money was good.Some people will not be as lucky as me [ right person at the right place] so how will they manage? I wish them all the luck the same as my grankids what a job in front of them.

They where bought from Repco price I think less than $10. They come in a few pressures, the ones I have are 32psi. If you run at say 34psi they will turn red at just under 32psi. I bought 2 sets to replace the ones that disappear, so far none have gone

Every morning when I looked at the tyres they seem to be below correct pressure, with these little helpers greens OK red add air makes it easy

The cost of Ford Sat-Nav made me go this way. The screen is just in the right place for touching and the image is in the line of sight, in fact I use the GPS speed reading to drive with. it is easier to view than the dash. now if I can just show the pics.

Hello again, I live 60Klms from the 'Hardcover' factory, and the info coming thu about him out of business isn't correct. I rang him this afternoon and he now makes tents with a new type of top connection for hardtops other than his brand [Hardcover]. I will have a look at the arrangement and if it is OK properly get his,they cost $660.00 They don't have a floor so IMO you will have to make sure that the water from the hardtop runs outside. Hi I have been looking into ute tents. Two weeks ago 'Hardcover' where making up the tents with about a 2 week wait. They only fit their hardtops as they have tracks in the hardcover to slide the top into. As far as I know they do not have a floor, so water running off the hardcover may be an issue. I use a high pressure machine for washing the ute so the surface is clean without using cleaning cloths etc. so no swirl marks. my question is has anyone used an electric buffer for polishing/waxing if so do they leave any marks.

I missed the analogue clock from the cars I had before the T. So from e-bay got one for $51.00 + $10.00 postage. The local ford dealer has them for RRP of $235.00. It comes without a loom, the plug that connects to the clock the Ford dealer and the local auto electrician had no idea where to get it. I used to repair computers and having plenty of cables I found that the 4 pin plug that is used on CD, DVD's, to connect to the sound card fits perfectly. I bought mine from themeshman on ebay it is easy to fit, the only think is it is a slightly different mesh from the top. Perhaps I should have got the top one as well.javascript:add_smilie("") unsure.gif

Hi, First set of wheels was a WLA Harley, then came 4 wheels a Singer 9 the 9 stood for 9 HP and with its OHC developed 36HP it had mechanical brakes. The brake shoes where pushed onto the drum by a cam that spread the top of the shoes. On a hill you needed first gear at the top to be able to stop. Wished I still had it even though it was a lot of bad enginering but that was the 1950's. I was with Expensive Daewoo until 1972 then swapped to Ford and including Toyota 4WD trayback. Lately I have had a NF Fairlaine, BA ute, and a BAII Fairmont Ghia. I have bought a BF XR6T ute, with leather seats, front and rear parking sensors, XR carpets, a hard top, GPS maps. You young fellows have the best cars avaliable, but at least I know that my ute is the best vehicle that I have ever owned.

The service manager at my Ford dealer, said that Ford was going to licence a top 'racing driver' to tune modify XR's so that the warranty applies. BF auto ute, mercury silver, leather seats, XR mats, sat nav, tint, front/rear parking sensors. 400klms
