I was reading zoom magazine today issue 103. it had an article about simon from nizpro talking about the xr6turbo engine and afr`s running as lean as 13-1 and 14 15-1 and relevent exhaust temps and timing and fuel octane. I found this verry interesting reading im a zoom suscriber and have about 100 editions of zoom

I think I can answer this one no shock you take a tank of 98 to the tuner with no octane boost. he will remove some timing from the lower tune to compensate

ford really need to do somthing about the loose feel of the rear end I had a ef with a real diff and heaps of power with no probs at all. then came the au with the clunk and sloppy feel<again worked v8> . trade in on a ba 6 same clunk now I got a bf and the same dam clunk is there again. they have had 3 au`s 2 ba`s and 1 bf and still no real progress. c`mon ford we are your bread and butter die hard ford fans

yes the price but also the generic/base tunes are pinging a bit in the heat of a long drive. not perfect but pretty good wot dosnt ping but part throttle does.wierd anyway this will fix me up for a while

I did try the 10 psi but have only been using the 8 psi untill I check it out fully. I will then take the dyno chart to my tuna to tweak the edit. I wont tell u who it was its a secret. he dosnt want the forum crap I said ok

will do adam asap and I will post the result. the missing tune shock is the valet tune., I may not need it but if I get tyres or zorst or whatever I can use the valet to make sure my car dosnt get flogged by a young hoon wile im not around. also adam I have a pretty good ear for ping

as I have posted before I have taken the t out to the drags at wsid and ran a 14 second pass. now I have added a factory typhoon intercooler and a capa flash tuner programed with some pretty cool base tunes 8 and 10 psi maps. wow I would have never thought that my car could pull that hard. I dont have a dyno reading yet but I cant belive the power it has its amazeing. I dont think a custom tune is needed for me this is f n increadable. I just wanted to let u guys know about my expirence

I have never taken my car to ford and never will unless I need warranty. my tuner can do all the handbook serviceing and I trust him more than a ford apprentace who has to do 9 hours work in 8 and I have peace of mind knowing that my car wont be thrashed by an 18 year old. bolts tightened free

mabe the exhaust bolts in the turbo I have heard they come loose oftern

I have found optimax with 5%ethanol is the best for me runs good on 10psi

you can put it in the glovebox the boot or leave it at home all you do is plug it in wait 3 mins then remove it the memory is stored on the computer

you should not have ant probs with tunehouse good guys I think intune performance have a special at the moment 895 for the capa box

I fitted my fpv intercooler that I got from ms700 installation was a breeze being a bf I had to drill one hole but that's it. fits great looks cool works a treat. has gained a bit of power but the main thing is it dosnt run out of puff as quick as the stocker. with no tune it dosnt ping at all and it seems theturbo spools a bit quicker by no tune I mean stock ford tune om off to the local tomorrow to get the afr checked on the dyno I should be able to post a chart with stock t and fpv cooler cheers im happy with the cash I spent.
