  1. back on topic .... I sold my mk1 ba n/a auto trade in for 27k with about 80k on the clock 9 months ago. the salesman said 21k I said to him that's not acceptable as I got the car from them 6 months before for 30k. dont accept the first 2 prices u get make him sweat on it. if u dont get what u want say the magic words I THINK I NEED TO THINK ABOUT IT SOME MORE. that gets them cracking

I need to find out what people on here know about obtaining a tach signal on the xt6turbo. there has been talk about modulator boxes from the crank trigger and pickups from the number one sparkplug. also people have used the number one injector as a reference point for the modulator box. any one out there who has got an after market tacko or a shift light will have an imput. any advice would be much appreciated as this is needed for a boost controller setup eboost2 and to make it easier for others to fit gizzmos. if I can get a signal I can have programable launch controll and boost with an intergrated shiftlight
  7. please forgive my ignorance but I have a few questions. is this xcal used with the edit from what I can see its yes. and its an interceptor like the unichip right. how much are they. I would like to be able to pull timing out and have 10%+and - fuel. combined with a boost controller and a good 3d map it can be a home tune kit.

  10. iv got one. I had spent months respraying my datto 260z in midnight blue, while the motor was out my mate asked if he could try my hi performance fan on his vl. my datto had a rb25 but it didnt fit on the vl so we put it back on my motor and didnt think any more about it untill...... motor reinstalled went for a big rev down the road and BANG rattle rattle. I thought I had launched a piston, so I got out and looked at a 6 inch gash in the bonnet. opened the bonnet to see the radiator sliced wiring harness sliced inner guard ripped open the fan wasnt tight and it exploded. the thing is that I was leaning over the motor revving it and showing my mates the exhaust noise only hours before ... I could have been killed. I look back now and think that I was lucky
  11. all u need as said is an intercooler. the stocker is a bit of a blockage in the system. that power at 10 psi is on par with what u should get. if u get a cooler your tuner will give u more boost=more power.

  13. hello again hows that rocket ship coming along... as said the search function on here will bring up some threads on the topic but I find it a bit hard to use somtimes when searching for somthing in particular. what do u think about using a stocker dump front bit then go some custom pipework off that to go where u want it to go. I would say there would be somone on here with a stocker cheap.
  14. I think the bf falcon has the terry brakes on them all standard now. the rotor nrealy fills up the whole wheel space. I may be wrong but that's what I heard. I put mine near a ba with premium brakes and my rotors and calipers were noticibly bigger

  16. I agree totally. as for the test I think I did one on my 260z years ago. I had to get the verry basic emissions test done at idle then a drive by 3rd gear 47kph sound check. not sure if this is the one as it was many many drinks ago
  17. I have seen an xr6turbo with gas injection before. it was 300 rwkw using gas and fuel with a switching point above 250rwkw where it was fuel only. they said it was a seamless transition computer controlled with the edit. meen and green

    jet .he says he lost his licence again after getting the insurance and didnt disclose.. sorry to hear man that would shatter me. looks really good now bet u love that 6speed as for insurance the government needs to set some strong standards in the insurance industry. we should not have to ring the insurance company every time we get a fine to see if we are still covered.
  19. you cant just connect the green wire to + it depends on if you have it insatlled with positive switching or earth switching. I think if u get it rong there will be magic smoke. from the fooked geenie
  20. I was thinking about having mine extrusion honed top and bottom. what do u guys think
  21. im in for sure +1 handbrake I should have the injectors in by then with a new tune
