  1. I read that article, he got his mother to drive it to a Expensive Daewoo dealership to get an oil change done.
  2. on the sct website they have a secion for discontinued items. im downloading version 4.3 atm, will see how that goes.
  3. just make sure its installed correctly. people have had problems with not using the correct fuel grade hose in the tank.
  4. I have broken my old lap top and need to download the software for the livelink data logging. I downloaded the version 6.0 software but cant get it working, my question is does anyone know what version I need for an xcal2 that works on windows 7.
  5. didnt nizpro build a ute with gtr running gear?
  6. you can use the stock xr6 mounting brackets just flip the passenger side bracket up side down and drill one hole.
  7. try calling liverpool exhaust and ask to speak to chev, tell him yout a member here and he will probibly give u a good deal. I reccomend there hurricane cats, the 4.5 inch body 3 inch in and out cat is prety good. I have there 5 inch body 3 inch in and out cat and have done about 50k kms with no problems. I have seen some other brand cats melt after 10k these ones seem to handle our hi temp exhaust. they will ship interstate if needed.
  8. I cant belive with all the Experts on here no one has mentioned OVERBOOST, oftern when people cut out the cat they then need to do the wastegate/flapper mod to regain proper control of boost.
  9. look in thes thread. http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/New-Plazmaman-Fg-Intercooler-t63071.html&st=36 nuff said.
  10. if you want to hear an awsome sounding system remove the centre muffler and put twin 3 inch hotdogs at the rear replacing the rear muffler. rumbles at idle with supercar sounds on boost. my mates say that my car is the best sounding xr6 turbo they have ever heard, others ask if my car is a turbo v8.
  11. dont forget bbq. get a trolley put wood inside trolley then lift up the rear swinging part and hammer the sides so it stays up then place meat on top.
  12. I would go the mal wood opt3. I have done 70k at well over 300rwkw and have had no problems at all still holds strong, the remote bleed kit works a treat too.
  13. if we get some cars there I will attend and take some nice piccies of members cars. I have a decent 35mm dslr and portable printer.
  14. geez it sux driving a rav4 for the past week. the beast is off the road due to a dodgy weld on my surge tank. getting it back tommorow minus the surgeie while I get it re welded...lol...gotta love the closed businesses over xmas/new years.
  15. I have read on here its best to drive it like you stole it from new to get the best performance. I did 3000 moderate km before getting it on the dyno for a tune and bolton`s. several thousand km and dollars later it performs perfectly.

    its the plazmaman 800hp kit.
  21. a climate change expert was on the radio the other day saying that the earth heats up and cools in cycles and an ice age is more likely to occur than the constant warming that has been prodicted. also the sun is expanding at a constant rate and in 35 million years the earth wont even exist as the sun will swallow up each planet one by one as it destroys its self. the other factor is the orbit of mercury and the 11 year cycles of solar maximum and solar minimum where the sun expands and contracts regulating its size by buring up its own fuel and replenishig its fuel source by regulating its own inner temperature.
  22. I agree more powwer from more flow. on a darg car being tested by the plazmaman boys they tested an equaly sized b&p cooler vs the t&f cooler and got a slower time with the b&p cooler because of the loss of flow. of course you can tune the bar and plate cooler the same way by removing internal fins to provide flow but cooling is reduced. same way as flow is reduced by adding internal fins to the tube and fin cooler . the key is finding the peak flow vs cooling capasity ratio and perfecting the package to suit the desired application. the weight is the key also when it comes to heat soak and recovery rates. in no way am I saying tube and fin is better than bar and plate, it depends on what kind of driving you are doing and what hp numbers you are after. nice choice btw im looking forward to seeing what numbers your beast pulls with the 1800 setup.
  23. funny you mention that dan, we were just talking about the use of eps the other day for a diy xr8 bulge made from this very product.
  24. yes but for full racing mdf is too heavy, gaffa tape reinforced cardboard is the go
  25. back to the topic quality quality quality. we all know tube and fin coolers flow extremly well, some say too well sacraficing cooling but with the added internal fins slowing flow down and providing excelent cooling this combo is perfectly matched between cooling and flow. not months but years of develpoment went into producing this core. blah blah blah this cooler vs that cooler wank wank money in the bank I know where my money goes when buying top noch coolers.
