  1. installation is a breeze. just lay all the parts out on a blanket and stick em where they seem to fit. took me and a mate a couple of hours to fit mine in the driveway with some supercrap tools.
  2. I think he means that you go to maccas and buy a coffee then pay with eftpos and get cash out with the purchase.
  3. has anyone heard from mal wood, I saw on the news warrick is going under also. I wish you all the best and hope you all have minimal damage.
  4. you can cut off the intake and exit parts of the xover and weld up the holes then flip it over and remove the centre devider in the xover by cutting a square hole in the middle then remove the devider and weld the square up again. I have seen it done looks nice, sorta like the old aps xover.
  5. have a look at your tailshaft centre bearing rubber.
  6. no probs nigel, I spoke to mal today about the shaft he has for sale, sounds pretty interesting. I may end up getting one of his units, the cars at my local mechanics getting the old one removed, I have a guy giving me a quote tomorow re a custom carbon wrapped alloy jobbie with a custom oval mounted centre bearing. these things can really suck up the $$ at times, I need a new turbo soon the old ones getting a bit noisy.
  7. Thanks mate. It's Royce not Julian here. We met at cv.
  8. Hi people. I have a bit of a problem with my tailshaft. I managed to twist my shaft and root the centre bearing. my question is ,has anyone on here had there tailshaft replaced with a heavy duity item. if so where did you get the shaft made and how much did you pay, I can get a stocker replacement for $800 and a hi po custom job for $1400 im interested in how much power some people have on the stock tailshaft, I know some are making much more than im making and have had no problems with there`s. what do u guys think should I get the upgrade or was it bad luck my old one broke.
  9. I agree, my pumps are hooked up to a relay triggered by the ecu. mabee the program can half activate the relay.
  10. and that's nearly as much as saleens mother.
  11. I second third and fourth the comments above. top quality and a reasonable price.
  12. so if money was no object what would be the best pump to use in place of an 044.
  13. the twins on mine are fairly noisy, when you drive more than 100km with out stopping they get really noisy as they heat up. has anyone else had this problem with them getting really windey almost squeeling when hot.
  14. there are a whole lot of goodies on this one. plenum injectors turbo back exhaust surge tank and 044 big ass rapid cooler kit. im sure matty will post a list of mods later.
  15. nice work mate, do you agree with me now about how good c&v is. job done right first time with no hassles or stress. standing around talking about the setup before it was tuned I said to matt it would make 380rwkw, I bet it hammers now mate, you have a real nice ride there mate looks good and has the balls to back it up. it was good to see you again mate good luck with it in the future.
  16. give them a call and ask about the kit. 0297251728 I would reccomend the t&f cooler over the b&p
  17. have a look at the plazmaman 800hp kit. the cooler is a tube and fin 76mm thick core and is not huge, offers great cooling and flow with exceptional throttle response and flow to the radiator. my car runs over 350rwkw with the 800 kit and even more with a little squirt of dry nos..lol.
  18. geez mate. cheer up only 4 more days till the next one. on the weekend I removed both front wheels and took off both brake rotors before I realised that my new rotors were too small. anyone wanna buy some cross drilled and slotted rotors for a ba.
  19. I just picked up free off my father some cross drilled and slotted rotors for my beast. brand new only done 100km, he upgraded the brakes on his 34 coup to 8 pot nastys and gave me the old gear. score for free. you may need a modulator box to convert the crank trigger to a tach signal to use that shift light.
  20. haa ha. good to see kev get shafted out of a job same as he shafted me out of my job. kevin 07 gone by 11.
  21. have a look at the plazmaman range of coolers. you said you dont mind paying for a quality product. give alex a call on 97251728. I can personally reccomend the 800hp kit, works well for my application not too big not too small. also do some reaserch on intercooler theory on google and make an educated decision, do u want tube and fin or bar and plate, if u are doing track work you want to look at recovery rates weight heat soak and pressure drop, pipe size pipe/location fitting and after sales support. make up your own mind rather than just going with what somone has told you.
  22. there have been cases posted on here where internal paint and casting dags have damaged turbo`s.
  23. my mate had this problem. he had his bolts welded to the flex plate. since doing this its never come loose again, when he had his box rebuilt they just ground the welds fixed the box and welded new bolts on again. the only bad thing he said was buying a new flex plate every rebuild.
  24. I have found the 0.8 gap and a slightly higher idle eliminates the miss.
  25. mine leaked there too. took it to ford at 3000km and all they did was smear gasket goo over the leak. piss weak effort I thought so I payed for a real mechanic to fix the problem then took it to cv for a tuneup. ford warrenty is a joke.
