  1. iv heard the 4000`s are the anti crack ones designed to handle the weight of our cars.
  2. so now I have added wastegate and actuator mods and some exhaust mods, with more boost power has upped a bit since then. the next step now is a motor rebuild, this has been postponed due to the pending bitrh of my first child.
  3. kick it to me. dosnt work mate sell it to me cheap.

    Turbo Lag

just crank it up to 18 psi, then you will know what lag is. tha difference between when you stand on it to when your tyres start smoking and squealing for mercy.
  5. hi there bunter you old fart. I posted up the show details you asked about, couldnt message you back for some reason.
  6. didnt billsta offer 50 bucks for a box of tissues.
  7. that's a keen eye there senna, spot a 800 over a 1000 from 2.5 km away.
  8. rapid. was that you on the m7 pulled up beside me rolling down the window saying hi mate then woosh gone?
  9. that's what I was talking about , the one I saw was a bit bigger but basicly the same.
  10. I have seen temps as low as -30c mid run on a sr20 equipt datto, on the data logging on the return drive from the run to the pits it was still -10. this allows for more timing to be added allowing in some cases 50% more power than at +20.c.
  11. just a thought, with the intercooler setup, have you considered using a dry ice setup. being a drag only application the shorter intake path with an ice box would be ideal. not too hard to diy. also nice work, puts you in a lower class with a six, isnt there a 4.0 litre class in andra now.
  12. as said above the deka/headsex injectors are the go, that's what I use. however some people have had sucess with drilled out stock ones.
  13. you said it senna the visor foggs up real quick when your doing your first run with big power. I find that with my visor open I still get fogged glasses from breathing faster on adrenalan. just remember to stage up on the front wheels not the back.
  14. you know your a bogan when your dads cell number has nothing to do with a phone. when you mow the grass and find a car. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Re1y1hFrd6o this is similar just redneck instead of bogan.
  15. heres a link to some pics of my setup. may help out with ideas. http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...p;hl=surge+tank you get what you pay for in this field of mods, that's a 3.2 litre tank mounted under the bonnet with outlets and mounting space for twin pumps. not bad for around $1200 fitted.
  16. I voted kevin wilson, stick that f....ng recession, you know the rest.
  17. it was smoking joe tripodi but now im not sure. heres a list that's not been updated. http://www.premier.nsw.gov.au/Ministers.html
  18. I remember dagabond saying if he could get one for 300 he would buy it. no problems with that price now. too bad he drives a Expensive Daewoo now.
  19. you bettter hide,
  20. When unburned fuel/air mixture beyond the boundary of the flame front is subjected to a combination of heat, pressure for a certain duration (beyond the delay period of the fuel used), detonation may occur. Detonation is characterized by an instantaneous, explosive ignition of at least one pocket of fuel/air mixture outside of the flame front. A local shockwave is created around each pocket and the cylinder pressure may rise sharply beyond its design limits. If detonation is allowed to persist under extreme conditions or over many engine cycles, engine parts can be damaged or destroyed. The simplest deleterious effects are typically particle wear caused by moderate knocking, which may further ensue through the engine's oil system and cause wear on other parts before being trapped by the oil filter. Severe knocking can lead to catastrophic failure in the form of physical holes punched through the piston or head, either of which depressurizes the affected cylinder and introduces large metal fragments, fuel, and combustion products into the oil system. Detonation can be prevented by the use of a fuel with high octane rating, which increases the combustion temperature of the fuel and reduces the proclivity to detonate; enriching the fuel/air ratio, which adds extra fuel to the mixture and increases the cooling effect when the fuel vaporizes in the cylinder; reducing peak cylinder pressure by increasing the engine revolutions (e.g., shifting to a lower gear); decreasing the manifold pressure by reducing the throttle opening; or reducing the load on the engine. Because pressure and temperature are strongly linked, knock can also be attenuated by controlling peak combustion chamber temperatures at the engineering level by compression ratio reduction, exhaust gas recirculation, appropriate calibration of the engine's ignition timing schedule, and careful design of the engine's combustion chambers and cooling system. As an aftermarket solution, a water injection system can be employed to reduce combustion chamber peak temperatures and thus suppress detonation.
  21. any one interested in a sniper group buy. it was only 6 months ago I upgraded from my xcal 1 to an xcal 2, that's 1900 dollars spent on hardware alone. now I have to spend a nother grand on hardware to allow my tuner to tune my car again, sorry not going to happen, the only thing I can see working is a heafty trade in when purchasing the xcal3. IM REALLY PISSED ABOUT THIS. my sig will soon read, e6x tuned by the hitman.
  22. this is very poor form on the part of sct and as a loyal customer having owned cal1 and cal2 boxes I am not happy at all about this decision. I prompt all of you out there to send mail to. Charlie Mahoney – National Sales Manager charlie@sctflash.com 976 Florida Central Parkway Unit 136 Longwood, FL 32750 expressing your anger and disgust at there managment of this issue. this will be the end of sct in australia, I cant see too many tuners and customers trusting them after this.
  23. this needs to be re marketed for push bike users. helmet lights and so on.
  24. hi there fordfreak, it was bunter that mailed me to post up the info. I remember you from there.
