  1. Yeah fortunately under warranty. Yeah possibly 2 days is what the guy said, reckons it's a big job. Not sure how long it's going to take until they get a new turbo from Garrett before they can even start and the Easter long weekend won't help my case either.
  2. Well after taking my car to Ford they have told me that my turbo is apparently stuffed. Not sure if it's linked to the issue I was having but we'll see if it's gone once they put a new one in. Could be a two day job.
  3. Got the motor vehicle booked in to get checked on Thursday. Hoping it's something minor. Hooked up my basic scan tool to check the readings. Normal?
  4. Well I haven't taken it to them yet, just wanted to know if anyone knew what it could be if it's a simple fix but looks like I'll have to take it to Ford after all. Yeah still has warranty fortunately.
  5. Wouldn't that cause a rough idle? The idle is normal. It only acts up when applying throttle. I pulled out the MAP sensor again and inspected the o-ring. It seems to be intact but I'll replace it anyway when I can.
  6. I just cleaned it out, but I was holding it open manually, not by having the pedal pushed down. Would that have done anything bad? Apart from that I pulled the MAP sensor out and sprayed it with electrical cleaner. Put everything back together and there have been no codes showing, but the rpms are f*cked as described above. Also when I'm parked and I push the throttle, the rpm goes up then comes back down just above idle and gets stuck there for a couple of seconds, then drops to idle. Seems like there is a delay from the initial input too. It's doing my head in.
  7. Yeah didn't wanna start a new thread and the bloody "known issues fg xr6t" thread is still stuffed . Car is still acting weird. Now the rpms aren't consistent with throttle input. They are sticking instead of dropping back down smoothly after letting off the throttle. For example when I press the pedal really quick and let off, the needle will jump to 3k and hold there.
  8. Had a look and everything seems to be in order. All clamps are tight. I was initially thinking it could have been the MAP sensor or TPS but usually a fault with those would throw a code and make the car idle rough. Damn cars...
  9. Haha if only. Forgot to mention when I get off the pedal and let it coast it starts slowing down fairly quick, more so than before. Like it's dragging. Might throw it up on a hoist and get someone to have a look. I know if I take it to Ford they will try tell me there is nothing wrong with it so they won't have to replace anything through warranty
  10. Need some advice guys. My car has been playing up recently. I'll try describe the problem as best I can and no it's not in my head. Basically there feels like there's resistance while accelerating and I'm getting some feedback through the pedal, a very slight vibration noticeable at lower speeds. It's not lacking power as such but the delivery isn't as smooth. It is not missing, idles normal. No codes. Checked for vacuum leaks with a pressure tester and was reading normal. I did do some work on the car before this issue started happening which involved changing the fuel filter, cleaning the throttle body and the MAP sensor and cleaned boost solenoid. Could I have disrupted something in the process? Already tried resetting the ECU to no avail. I'm not entirely sure it's engine related though. Perhaps transmission or driveline? Diff? Bushes? Almost at 20000km now so is there anything I should be looking for before getting it checked out?
  11. Anyone know what they had to do to implement launch control in this model? Is it computer controlled or does it involve modification to components?
  12. Saw the 2 Fast 2 Furious R34 replica around my area today. Must of been a Paul Walker fan. Example pic
  13. As requested, but not using my car
  14. What about people putting the FG F6 bumper on their non turbo falcons? Seen a few in the past and think it's pretentious.
  15. That's what I thought but a guy was going to pick them up on Saturday for $150 until this incident. Live and learn I guess.
  16. You know me too well Nah it was actually tail lights. I went back to the original pair.
  17. Anyone ever find themselves in a position where you have a physical object of some sort which you feel could be freshened up with a little intervention but instead you end up making it worse and instead of listening to your instincts by leaving it be, you have this urge to try and fix it but you just make it even worse again? Well that's what happened with something I was trying to sell. It had some dirt trapped inside and I tried spraying some cleaning solution to disperse it but this just made it worse, then I tried to open up the unit but broke it in the process, so now I can't sell it. Had I just left it the way it was then I could of at least made some money. Fortunately it wasn't overly expensive but it's a waste nonetheless.
  18. Saw a female on her p-plates texting on her phone while tailgating the car in front. The bitch was looking up and down while the car in front started slowing down and she just managed to react in time and avoid rear ending them. Some people aren't getting the message, and more often than not they're young girls.
  19. Normally I'd be keen but I'm still waiting to replace my rear tyres and seeing as there is any chance of rain tomorrow it's a definite no.
  20. According to Fat Pizza, the yellow thing is the pen*s, the red is the zipper and the tunnel is the pussy.
  21. Haha yeah I figured everyone else on here would know. Guess I'm still learning
  22. I just did some research on compression ratios. Seems like boosted cars have lower ratios meaning less power when off boost as opposed to a N/A car with a higher compression ratio. Interesting.
  23. So off topic thread shat itself again
