Hey guys I ended up buying the herrod twin 2.5" system cat back which goes into 3" before the back muffler and then out in twin again on idle it's has a slightly deeper note but when you rev it pretty much sounds the same as a stick system I'm not sure if I should now change the cat and piping that joins up with the herrod system and hope that it will have a louder note and better performance or sell the herrod system and put the stock system back on with a 4" dump pipe and new cat and hope it's gonna sound nice and performance will be better thanks again guys for all your advice also is there any guys in Melbourne that meet up for cruises as I would like to check out what other mods you guys have done look forward to your reply

Hey guys I have a ba xr6 turbo and I have purchased a herrod twin 2.5" system stainless I have noticed that it has made a difference in performance with being a little more responsive but I didn't get the note I was after my options are to sell the herrod system and remove the back muffler off the standard system plus put a new high flow cat in the standard system and tune it that way I could possibly have the performance and sound I am after thanks and look forward to hearing from you

Hey guys my goal for the car is to get it running properly first as it has been bought to my attention that I have a partially blocked cat which I think is the problem I'm having with bad fuel economy and lacking a bit of performance at the same time I am thinking of doing the exhaust also I can't see myself pushing this car any higher than 300 kW thanks and look forward to your reply

Hey guys I have a ba xr6 turbo ute and I'm needing some advice on what size exhaust to put in I'm not chasing any big power but it's also good to know I have the option later on I have been offered a herrod exhaust twin 2.5" second hand stainless or a 3" dump pipe back exhaust not sure what the difference is or what's gonna flow better and give me a bit of room up my sleeve in case I ever want more power thanks and look forward to hearing from you

Hey guys I have a ba xr6 turbo and I'm having a problem with my fuel consumption at the moment when I fill up my fuel range normally reads about 400 kms before empty but I'm only getting around 340 Kim's out of my tank I have spoken to friends of mine that have a standard ba xr6 and they get 550 to 600 Kim's from there tank I've had my spark plugs changed my coil packs and fuel filter changed also I've had my cat checked and it's partially blocked thanks and look forward to your response

Hey guys I've been having some dramas with my keyless entry I have replaced batteries in the remotes also been to ford they can't find the problem I have been able to program my remotes but within an hour it looses memory and I have to reprogram again that went on for a while until now I can't pair the remotes anymore when I press the demise button 3 times it doesn't do the full cycle it just locks the doors but doesn't go back up I leaning more to having a bcm problem because I have tried another one and it works but doesn't start my car so if I need to replace my bcm I know I have to replace it with the same colour if that's wrong please advise me otherwise plus I will need to program the parameters again if there is a way through an Obdii app suggestions are most welcome thanks for your time and look forward to hearing from you

Hi benno glad to hear your car is fixed also I'm wondering if that could be the same thing wrong with my car I don't know if I have a boost leak or not but feels like I'm driving a non turbo xr6 I've replaced my plugs and coil packs as well and oxy sensor and it has made a little difference but I can't feel boost kick in the way I should any way all the best for your car and look forward to further posts

Thanks El my mechanic has just suggested to put a boost gauge on I also have an obd wifi adapter but I use an ipad with a dash command app plus obd doctor but I still can't get it to work properly I also had the cat checked out today and it was fine the only other thing I'm gonna try now is the intercooler piping maybe injectors or fuel pump thanks again for your reply and hope to hear more advice or suggestions

Hi all I would like to ask you all if you have come across any rough idle problems in a ba Xr6 turbo I have replace plugs coils oxy sensor and I still have the problem every time I changed those parts it ran ok for about a day then it would come back I also have a bit of powers loss it doesn't seem to boost as hard as I hoped I am thinking about replacing the turbo intercooler piping but I don't know for sure there is a boost leak or an issue with the piping to begin with I would like to know if there is a way that I can test for a boost leak thanks and look forward to your response

Thanks for all your replies but I am wanting to know if anybody is using dash command it has a boost vacuum gauge that I can't get to work

Hey guys just wondering if anybody is running an Obdii adapter that sends information to an iOS device such iPhone iPad or android and if it actually sends the right information also I would like to know what parameters to input into the dash command app and how to activate the boost gauge in the app thanks and hope to hear from you soon

It's a ba xr6 turbo I got an auto elec mate to scan the system he got rid of the code but I have to use the original bcm for both units that I have wanted to set one up on a test bench so I can do some mods and power it up

Hi Anthony thanks for your input I was wondering if cleaning the turbo boost solenoid will make a big difference I've been doing some research on the forum and a number of people have said that it worked for them

Thanks blueprintme I will keep that in mind when I go and see the mechanic I do need to change the spark plugs cause the car feels like it has a miss occasionally when it idles but what I do want to know do you get thrown back into seat when turbo kicks in cause I don't feel the boost that hard thanks look forward to your response

I've had a scan done on the car to find out if my Him module is working turns out that it is now I have to find out why the heater still doesn't work also while doing a scan it came up saying there was a waste gate error could this be why the car doesn't feel like it is boosting very much I will be looking forward to your feedback thanks
