    Fathers Day!

I seriously have no idea what to get the old man this year!!! Any suggestions??
  3. Yes, still using standard throttle body. My understanding, given that I did query Nizpro about it over 2 years ago, is that Nizpro had done some testing on mildly modified cars, and found it was not worth the effort, and that was when the product was having problems. It may now make a difference to my car at the current level of modification, so I don't rule out trying this product, but only on a money back condition if it makes little or no difference. Anything less than 10-20rwkw is just not worth it. Brian ← So basically if you want more than 500+ kw then you will need to change it but until then worry about other parts of the motor.
  4. It will be good to see 6 turbo Fords loosing control & still be a legal event
  5. Only a couple of weeks to go have all the seats been booked??
  6. Yes, but I'm not using a standard Ford box, I'm using a Mal Wood special, which is stronger. ← I was only talking about 275ish rwkw not playing with the big boys It is a 6 speed, hmm clutch hey... What would be the price range & where should I look in Melb for parts? Should I just get the parts from Mal Wood & get someone down in melb to fit them??
  7. The engine hold up very well to substantial power increases, but like everything, there is a limit. 330RWKW is about the limit of the stock internals for an XR6T. Some peopla have gone higher, but it really comes down to how much of a risk you are willing to take. The first limitation is the gearbox. ← Hi All, I am just catching wind of this, but at what point do I need to start worrying about the gear box as I also have a mk2. My goal would be around the 250rwkw but I have been told by most on the site that the mods that I plan to do I will be looking to the 265-275rwkw range. What would be the range for cost on the gearbox upgrade if I do need to upgrade?? Im also in Melb so any pointers to gear box joints would be good also. P.S. any warranty snipers out there I clearly stated planning
  8. Can we book yet?? I see there is another driving day also on offer
  9. I am in no way an employee or recieve commission from Binks in Footscray but I really think they are the worth giving a call. They even talked me out of getting my car serviced early!!!! I had some warranty issues & they looked after it no questions asked. Also I rang them up to book the car in for the warranty work & they fit me in the next week, I cancelled on them & then rang back the next day & booked it in the following day.
  10. Im in, what are the banking details??? I thought it was going to be in the $300 mark. See you there
  11. There goes your warranty mate, havent you been reading other topics in this forum.
  12. I would be interested in going to some lessons on how to better drive the XR in the wet I think it helps with insurance to. Tulla is out my way so depending on the cost count me in.
  13. The 6speeds hold but the clutch kit behind it will start slipping at that power. Mine did. ← Thanks for that info, what cost range should I be pricing for?? Here I was pricing for $2500 to $3000 for that power range now I will have to add more.
  14. Hmmmm, I was never awair that you need a new or adjusted clutch for 250rwkw. How about the 6speeds, can they hold 250-275??
  15. ISAR:Expensive Daewoo supercharged 6 squirters if u dont intend on going over 300kw Are these injectors the same squirt patter as ford injectors?
  16. It would be helpful if some has fitted one of these, I have seen them advertised in the mags for around 700bucks. Things I would like to know is: -are they easy to fit? -what is the power comparision to a standard? -finally, was extra heat on the radiator from the cooler taking the extra space?
  17. Update: -new passengerdoor skin has been fitted -New rear drivers door control has been fitted (lights actually come on now when I open the door) -New engine bay stickers done The only thing so far that warranty has knocked me back on is a new Dash pad because I think the original is slightly lifting in the middle (does any one else have this problem??) The car is less than 12 months old so time will tell on the Dash pad. Overall I am happy SOOO FAR
  18. Mine is very bad on cold mornings, some times I really struggle to put the thing back into first until the car warms up. You would think Ford would have noticed this problem during testing... I guess with the heat & pressure from the Turbo they have to use that oil, If there are any NA out there, do you have the same problem???
  19. My car goes in for warranty work tomorrow (05/07) for the following: -New passanger door skin (old one keeps coming off the door) -New light control for driver's side rear door (when you open the door none of the interior lights come on) -New engine bay stickers (they were falling off when I got the car) I have already had the battery replaced, these are just teething problems & so far im pritty happy
  20. My Sister inlaw has just got back from working in the US for six months & got me the brochure's of the 06 Dodge Charger. the most important model's are Charger Daytona R/T & the Charger SRT8. the Charger SRT8 has a 6.1 liter HEMI with 425 horsepower & 420 lb-ft of torque, they also come with 20's from factory!!!

You haven't offended anyone mate, just asked a question. You will get numerous opinions on what is possible and, more importantly, what is safe on standard injectors. Having had a t for nearly 3 years and now a Typhoon, I've been around here for a while and seen a number of these threads turn into slanging matches. From what is currently being produced by the good tuners, you WON"T need to replace your injectors for a 250RWKW car. It can be done safely. Where the limit is set, really depends on the opinion and skill of your chosen tuner. I would still budget for a new set of injectors, as its almost guaranteed that you will need them in the future. You see, once you start modding the process becomes addictive. There are many a member on this site who have said, "xRWKW is all I want", and once they get there stay happy for a few weeks. Then it's on to the next level...... The cycle then continues until one of a number of things runs out: - Money - Points on licence - Driving skill - Courage - Luck - The minister of finance's patience ← As a qouted by a director of Mobile Australasia "there are two things in life that are non profitable investments, but most just cant stay away from.. 1) children 2) cars
  22. Has there been any plans yet for where those cars not picking up there cars from the tuners to meet before going down to the drags on Friday?? Also, Is every one going to meet somewhere & time before going down to Nizpro?? I cant wait to see the big show of XRT's at the drags on Friday

sorry if I have offened any one, I will give them a call there near me anyway. To me it doesnt really have anything to do with "can they cope" but more about the Longevity of the motor. So I guess I will leave it at that.

hmmm, that's why I wrote in my message that I was suprised that he hadnt used injectors yet. So if Im looking for 250rwkw SAFELY should I get them??

Thanks for that information , The cost of reaching my 250rwkw SAFELY should only really cost me $2500ish. It is interesting to note that you havent added the injectors earlier. Considering I could use a WOG cooler for $600ish fitted we are now talking cheaper again (this must be the financial advising side of me coming out).
