Ford Could never pay off the debt, its like the US govenment. Both will never not have debt, they just keep issuing debt to pay for debt. Normally what happens is the company is NORMALLY in a better condition to issue debt at a lower margin than the orignial issue. The main problem for Ford is at the moment that the credit rating is only three notches above default, so the issue rate will be huge. Another problem with Ford issuing more debt is that most CDO's & fund managers were holding Ford debt before the credit down grades so the bonds will sit in their books as bad performers & therefore will be harder to hold greater amount''s let alone the fact the debt is sub investment grade.

Diesel is the way of the future, If you go to Europe you would have rocks in your head to buy a normal pertol car. Diesel will work well in Australia, less fuel consumption, diesel powered cars handle Australian weather conditions better. The only area that I can see as being the real sticking point is that Petrol stations will need to upgrade their system to cope with the increase in demand & we all know how much the major petrol stations like an excuse to increase fuel prices.

Some else who owns a Magpie We have had our magpie (Max) for nearly 4 years now. We got him from a Ranger who didnt have the time to look after the baby Magpie, He lives in the house and has no problem sitting on people or next to some one on the computer. Most days we let him out side to eat some bugs & take a bath in big serving dish (very funny to watch). His normal diet is choice cut beef with the heart tick.

I forgot to add that I did give this site a little plug. I meantioned that some people on this here change the oil in the box.

I have owned my T coming up to one year now, when I first purchased the car (new) the person gave me a marketing doc to fill out & send back. About one week into owning the car I actually filled out the forms (I was pissed off about the car at the time) & sent them back. Today I recieve a call from some engineers from Ford asking me about my replies!!! After letting them know I have owned the car for one year so my answers may have changed slightly we proceeded. The first engineer wanted to know why I rated the car a 6 on the fuel consumption, to which I replied that going off my fuel usage I should be getting a lot more k's from the tank. He asked what they could do to rectify the problem, It was suggested that maybe they could increase the fuel tank so I wouldnt have to fill the tank so often. My reply to that was, that would be easier than actually fixing the problem. The second engineer asked about power & performance. (I rated it another 6) I didnt really have that much to say about that except for the heat soak you get in summer. The third engineer (transmission) was the one I went to town on. I had rated the manual a 3 at the time (probably at the time I still had a chance of my misses driving the manual so I could drink more often). I just went through the normal problems, -Hard selection when cold -long travel from the top of the H to the bottom. The Fourth engineer was from cooling & heating (6 rating) I really didnt have too much to say about that either except for I thought the dimister could have been better & there seems to be no happy medium for the air con. Fifth and final engineer asked about interior & what other changes I would make to the car. I had a couple of minor changes that I think will show their true colors later in the cars life (I wont be owning it then). The one thing I forget to mention was the piss poor brakes!!!! Has any one else recieved a call from the engineers?? What did you rate your car?? sorry about the spelling in advance

Feb for the Otways/Great Ocean Road run is good for me ( I try to get up that way about 4 times a year & even then I have clients up that way so I can always justify the trip ). March for Tassie is a great Idea, the longer the weekend the less time restrictions. The costs so far for the Tassie trip would look something like: $130 P/P each way on the Spirit of Tasmania, but if we book early we should be able to get the "Ship saver" which is $101 p/p each way. Each car costs $69 each way (excluding trailers, ect). I'm sure we could do a deal with a hotel/motel for the accomidation & bring there costs down if we get the numbers up.

A couple of Cruise Idea’s At the recent FPR day I put out the idea of a couple of cruises which Gary & a few others thought might have some legs, so if more people like the ideas I think we can make them work. Each Idea has two variations to them. The first idea was to cruise down to Colac, cut through the Otway ranges (good 20-25mins of 2nd-3rd gear windy sections) we will have a chance to stop at the Otways Tree top walk, When we finish the Otways ranges there is two directions we can go. a)We can head towards Port Campbell via the great ocean road, there is about a million places we can stop for photos(12 apostels etc). In Port Campbell people can either have lunch/ afternoon snack & head back either cut across to Camperdown & then straight down the Princess fwy or head back the way the came. b)Finish the Otway ranges then head the other way down the great ocean road towards Lawn. The Second Idea is to head to the two headed country, we could load cars on the Spirit of Tasmania on a Friday morning (9am), and then we would land in Tassie Friday afternoon (7pm). Find a good place to eat and call it a night. Here’s the kicker: We have two options a) Saturday morning we can start a trip around Tassie making sure we catch up with the tassie guys, I was thinking we could stop at Hobart for the night Saturday night. Sunday we can finish the Journey & either catch the boat back Sunday night or catch the boat back Monday morning. b) Saturday morning we could start / complete all the road sections of the Targa Tasmania. I’m not sure of the speed limits during the normal year but the roads are very windy. I was thinking stay in Hobart on the Saturday night and either finish the course & catch the boat home Sunday night. We were thinking maybe Jan/Feb??? Any thoughts??? Sorry for the spelling in advance

My Track Day At A Wet Eastern Creek *videos+pics*

The tyres still look new. They are just the Dunlops the car came with. ← I remember someone saying they did a skid pan course and afterwards there tyres were really worn on the edges. Is this just a matter of having the correct tyre temperature to avoid this? ← I also had a little wear on the edges, I had the tyres pumped up to the correct pressure also. It just means your having fun -
Hi & hope this helps, I try to go to Port Campbell four times a year as its a great place to stay. Pm me if you want the place I stay, its cheapish & a great place to sleap. The good thing about Port Campbell is; most of the bus tours go through port Campbell for lunch as its a great place to eat, because the town hasnt cheapened it self with dirty take away shops. The key is to get there after lunch when all the bus tours have left as you will have the towns restaurants pritty much to your self!!!!! I normally drive to Colac, then cut through the Otway ranges (about 25-30minutes of good 2nd-3rd gear drive). then continue down the great Ocean road.
