  1. I dont think I will be able to make the event unfortunetly Sorry for not coming back earlier I forgot I was working in Sydney yesterday. I think its worth finding out what it would take to run this event again though
  2. Well Im very interested Is any one else interested in going??
  3. I work in the Financial market and am more than able to point you to the right people. I can help you on a few points you have brought up. 1) Dont take any advice from people who are not licensed to give advice!!!!! 2) Please go & see a financial planner. 3) After seeing the financial planner go & see a tax planner. 4) I can tell you as I am licensed that you will NOT be able to place funds into a no risk intertest bearing product & recieve 10% p.a. Note: This is not financial advice.
  4. I personally never planned to have a 30 car turn out on this cruise (if it happened I would have dealt with it) as this was my first planned cruise & I personally dont hold much political weight on the site. I had originally planned this cruise for March as Feb produces some bluddy hot days. Due to the F1, Air show, Long weekend & the V8's we had to move the cruise forward. There is always another cruise idea in the pipe works so people will have a chance to come along. If anyone has a cruise idea's please let the cruise control guys know as the more cruises the better.
  5. Im running stock & I think the major issue is not heat soak but more brake fade.
  6. Yeap, restaurant is booked
  7. I think most of the cruise have to travel back the Melbourne way so there will be some one to follow
  8. Yeah freeway is fine.. its the twisties.. (which is the only thing im interested in) where rolling boredom sets in. The last GOR cruise I went on this happened.. There was 50 odd cars and the twisties were full of Snoredom.. Myself and my mates ended up just by passing the next stop area so we could actually stretch the legs of our cars.. Doesnt matter anyhow, im still coming. Just wanted to know how many extras are coming.. ← I think the twisty sections are the best part, I personally have a manual so If I get bored I just change down a gear & blast away. The guys that want to push ahead that fine we will just catch up later.
  9. if we happen to miss somebody on the way through geelong, we will be catching up again in Colac @ the Red Rooster before we head into the twisty sections. Dont worry mate its a Melb cruise, it always rains. On the way into Geelong its going to be pritty early for beach goers. On the way back we pritty much miss the crowds going to the beach because we start heading North at lorne.

hmmm, this posses a serious question which needs to be answered tonight depending on weather. Im running stock tyres & manual so it should be interesting.
  11. Moderator's: I think this thread needs to be stickied until the problem is resolved as I think most people would cry if this happend. Buf-Phoon: please keep us up dated.
  12. Hi Silverchris, That is a good point inregards to Petrol , we may need to have a quick pit stop in Geelong for Petrol, I was thinking people could fill up in Colac.

    Sex Sells!

She's got mans hands Dont worry about delievery I will personally pick it up.
  14. I like that attitude Dags & xrboy The good thing about moving the date is the weather!!!! Even though it tends to rain on melbourne cruises Feb is more likely than anyother month to have a dry cruise Now the cruise is only 3weeks away cant wait!!!
  15. Gary, I have pm'd you, give me a call if you want to chat further. I personally think we should move the cruise earlier but depending on the Wilson prom cruise. As evil stated the reason why we picked that weekend was to keep away from the formula 1.
  16. Dags maybe some more might intise more people to open the link On two points, Gary is on holidays at the moment so he wont be updating the people coming until he gets back but people should still post if they intend to come along. On the final front, we still don't have a restaurant for Apollo Bay yet or a coffee shop in Lorne so if any one wants to help out that would be good.
  17. Do you know any good restaurants in Appollo bay for Lunch?? Mate the car looks great
  18. The only key problem you will have with the 32 is relyability & sourcing enough parts to cover the Rally.
  19. I dont even think it is even turbo!!!! that's why I was finding out
  20. You would think but..... it had GT body kit including bonnet and orange GT stripes with GT6 written.
  21. Well you will be taking the right tool for the job. Some time in my life I want to do the same thing with the exact same car. My father was a member of the Pedders Rally team & a few others so he has done both Navagating & pitt crew on the course. Me personally I have yet to do either for the Targa. Evildaifu & I have talked about organising a cruise around the course as the maps are available, only differece being we would have to stick to the spead limit. Regards
  22. Does anyone on this site own the car with GT6 badging on it?? It looks ok except I think its on gas!!! I did search but nothing came up.
  23. that's a good point Scribr, I'm Still running a stock edit so all the boys behind me are going to be p!ssed
  24. YEAP not a sponser but Pedders in Footscray, ask for Robert.
  25. Normally the Auction house holds the tags for safe keeping. A friend bought a HSV from an auction house & was handed the tags after the purchase. The only problem is that Expensive Daewoo use a special type of rivet called a "daisy". So anyone who knows about that feature now thinks the tags are not original.
