I personally dont see any reason why this cruise shouldnt go ahead if the weather is poor. What you find is that if it does rain then the attendees will half, all this means is we can stop in at Gisbon for a coffee or a pizza instead of having to wait for people getting through traffic lights & other situations. Also, we really dont have to go to hanging rock if its wet as I dont see the point of having to pay $10 for entry fee if we are not going to get out of the car. Regards TUFXRT6

It truly adds to the experience if you have a CB, even if it's a $25 Dick Smith special. Camera for the photo opps and the views. RULES: 1. Obey all laws whilst on the cruise; this means no speeding, no overtaking over double lines (no matter how safe you think it may be), etc... 2. There is a designated cruise leader who will lead the way and set the correct pace for all cruise members. 3. Use the Buddy system; always make sure you can see the car behind you. This will give people behind you an indication on where to turn to make sure nobody gets lost. 4. CB Radio’s; if you don’t have one, follow the maps and directions given out. It is highly recommended to have CB as it enhances the enjoyment of the cruise being able to hear about road hazards and join in on the social chatter. 5. Please turn up to the meeting points with a sufficient fuel in your tank and enough time before the departure time. 6. During the cruise, please have head-lights on normal beam. It is up to individuals if fog lights are on, but be mindful that in some States, it is illegal to have fog lights on in most situations. 7. The Cruise Controller attending the cruise has the final say on the cruise route. 8. YPURV4, I ran this cruise the first week of June in 07. It didnt snow then & Mount Macedon is not known for its snow, but..... it was really REALLY cold!!! I have moved the time earlier in the day to counter the weather (never a guarantee). Regards TUFXRT6

Hi all, I was thinking about organising a cruise to Hanging Rock / Mount Macedon with either a lunch or dinner in Gisbone?? It takes about an hours drive time each way to get to the Macedon area from the city We went for a drive there about 3 years ago for those who were around then!! Regards TUFXRT6

unfortunetly insurance companies will now have to revert back to making a profit off insurance premiums so Shannons may not be able to continue to under cut premium prices. Over the past few years large insurance companies have been making profits off the underlying investments, not off the premiums necessarily. This has obvisouly changed over the past 12 months so expect insurance prices to rise to compensate. Regards TUFXRT6

It looks to me like you have everything under control. I do agree with your broker that if you use caution & are realistic that you should look to borrow a little more as you are both young and with natural regression you will earn more as the years roll on & therefore the payments will become more manageable. If you were older or didnt think that you will earn more then I say borrow as little as possible. Regards TUFXRT6

Another cruise organiser & I have had some meetings about this (good excuse for a lunch ) and the idea is relivately cheap & can cover some good k's. We had penciled out two cruises with both leaving thursday night & getting the last boat out on the Sunday.
