Ok Guys & Girls, After seeing the number of first time up graders post questions that would lead others to believe the owners of these cars really shouldn’t be playing with sooo much power I thought I would ask the question. Ruffly what point do XR6 turbo’s really start loosing street drivability?? This topic could be a good starting point for people new to the cars looking for modification but not sure when will power upgrades really start effecting street drivability. I realise at all power levels it inevitably comes down to the person driving the car and how the car is set. Hearing stories of people cautious not to take their car out in the wet or past 3000 rpm etc etc…. it would be good to create an indicative benchmark. I think this topic will work best if the boys with the big ponies & tuners who have progressed up the power curve point out where they believe the balance was tipped. I personally believe XRT’s start loosing drivability some were around the 300-350rwkw’s, this is the time overtaking & driving in the wet start to take some serious thought.
