  1. I had a bf xr6t with a few mods in manual and loved it. I bought a brand spanking needy f6 early 2010, but was looking at a 6 month wait for the manual, so I got the auto. As autos go, it's not bad, though hasn't got a patch on a decent clutchless manual like my wife's golf gti with the dsg. I find it hard to fall in love with an auto, you just don't get the connection
  2. Will the bbs challenge wheels clear the brembos on en fg f6? Anyone who's running them got pics? Jax quick fit have them, I'm seriously considering the black ones
  3. Here it is
  4. 324rwkw, on 15 pound boost. Was 275rwkw standard. Very wet day in sydney and central coast today, so no chance to try her out, but very happy with result, thank you to all the boys at CV, and thank you in particular to my 2yo daughter who (mostly) behaved at Miranda Westfield while we waited for the guys to perform their magic. As Fifty would say, I'm now "In Da Club" I'm trying to get the dyno sheet up, but my techno skills aren't great, I'll see how I go cheers
  5. I'm convinced. Spoke to CV, they're having the dyno serviced on monday anyway, so work has been postponed till the following monday. Which gives them time to get the intercooling piping in, $500 fitted. Thanks again for the info gentlemen (and ladies if there are any)
  6. Good to hear R-Spec. Thanks for the input Ben, hope I don't start popping Intercooler pipes, didn't really want the expense of doing the cooler just yet, but maybe down the track
  7. Why injectors? I don't know, that's what they suggested, and they did a good job with my previous bf xr6 turbo so I was happy to use them again. I like the sound of 614rwkw on 3psi.
  8. CV Performance, not sure what dyno they've got, I'll just assume it's the best type for my particular application?
  9. No stock run yet, but I'm buoyed by everyone's estimates! Hope it's a cool day...
  10. I've booked the F6 in for injectors and custom tune on monday. The kind gentleman suggests it should make 310 to 315rwkw. I'm excited, anyone want to play "nearest the pin?" 2009 FG F6 auto with about 9000km
  11. Hi nice result, was that just the cooler, or did you get all the piping as well? I'd be very happy with 320rwkw with intercooler and tune only. I'm in sydney, should I be looking at tunehouse or c&v? cheers

    Fg F6 Tune

Hi guys, I've been trawling around for a while, but having a bit of trouble finding some good advice on what to expect from a custom tune only on my new f6. I had a bf xr6 turbo I got to 285 rwkw with tune, injectors and fuel pump. I've been told the f6 runs about 250rwkw, and a remap alone should get it to about 300. does this sound right? She's an auto, and I managed to wreck the clutch in the bf xr6 with just a generic tune, so hopefully won't have any issues with the f6, she's a slushbox I'm on the central coast, so I'd be driving to sydney. I've used C&V in the past and been happy, but they're a 2 hour drive, so looking at other options, maybe Thanks in advance for the advice ps she's number 0772, I think, might double check that in the morning
  14. Looks awesome. I think I want one.
  15. Mal wood option 3 installed, drives beautifully. Highly recommend it, especially considering ford want about the same money for the standard unit.
  16. The clutch in my 6 speed BF was slipping. Capa flash, generic 8psi tune had me running 235rwkw. Never raced, never to the strip, never riding, rarely launched it quickly but she started slipping. Just ordered a mal wood option 3, had planned on further mods, so was expecting this eventually, but not after 30000km with a flash only. Clutch is the fuse in the driveline, just hope the rest of it stands up once I start chasing some serious power. F$%king ford dealer, quoted me $600 for labour to install a clutch. I got quoted Less than $250 by 2 other workshops, but ford already had the car with the gearbox on the floor (I was hoping the clutch slipping might be due to something I could warranty) and were going to charge me $400 to put it back together so I could get it done elsewhere. I lost it! The guy said the best they could do was $420. I said ok, but rest assured, they won't see me again. Bastards.
  17. I was looking for options to add to the car because a dealer gave me the run around, so I got one fitted (not sure if it's a factory or dealer option). It's mounted just in front of the passenger seat, out of the way, easy to reach. My Dad had an indicator assembly short and catch alight in an old 911 turbo, he's put one in every car he's owned since! Only downside is when a mate, who is a Expensive Daewoo fan jumps in and says "good idea having an extinguisher in a ford, thing could ignite at any time!" Might be worth ducking down to your local dealer and see if theyv'e got any fitted so you can see how they mount it!
  18. That's better than the rate of inflation, what do you want?
  19. Just go and test drive a BF. If you like it, buy it. If not, wait.
  20. New one?

    Finally

I found the same thing (with the lights) on mine. If you click it all the way back it goes into "auto" mode which means the lights come on when you start the car and turn off by themselves after you lock it. The "off" position is one click forward. Congrats on the purchase, and even though it's a fleet car, grab yourself a flashtuner, it won't hurt...
  22. Amazing how the cars just used to burst into flames. Not a great vid to watch on a tragic tuesday. Even more amazing the number of horrific crashes you see nowadays and the driver just walks away!
  23. Just got mine back from the shop for edit only. I mentioned plug gaps beforehand and he said he'd see if it was necessary. Dyno printout BF XR6T Manual Std 185kw Capa 8psi 235rwkw Capa 10psi 245rwkw He said it was starting to run a bit lean on the 10psi so he left it at 8psi. Must say I'm pretty happy with the result! Now, custom tune, injectors and exhaust?
  24. Gap the plugs? I'm booked in to get EDIT on tuesday, local guy, can't get custom tune until I can organise a trip to Sydney. I can ask him to gap the plugs, but what gap? Thanks
  25. I've got a BF Xr6 turbo, do they already have the phoon CAI? is that where the xtra 5kw over the BA is? I'm confused...
