  1. Can anyone confirm what modifications need to be done to fit a Walbro 460 intank into a FG ute? Have been reading comments on FB that the return line and fuel reg need to be modified? I have never had to do this when fitting a bigger pump to any previous vehicles I have owned. Won't be running E85 any time in the near future just 98. should also had currently tuned with 1000cc injectors and 280rwkw Cheers Mike
  2. Any chance you could email me the files please? Downloaded the demo and been playing about with that checking out the different sample tunes they give you. Bit hard to work out whats changed though when you cant compare to a stock or another the same. Email is michael28282@gmail.com
  3. I have seen the Innovative MTX-L on Amazon for $153 comes with a Bosch sensor
  4. yeah I had planned on getting a wideband at same time. Going to be a fair bit of guess work so I wanted to at least see how bad it went b4 motor popped lol
  5. Awesome I'll D/l that now and have a play. Always makes it easier if I can see what I'm doing in front of me rather than just reading. Tax return will be in soon so will order VCM Suite then.
  6. Cheers for the replies. What Ralph/Luke has posted has cleared up that bit for me, I assumed the injector slope was represented in a tuning program as a 2d graph or a table. Now I realise its a series of date calculated and entered. Got some more reading to do now.....
  7. Does anyone have a screenshot or a pic of what injector slope looks like? maybe a stock to a modified one? I am trying to get my head around what it actually looks like in a tuning program. I kinda understand what the hi/lo slope and breakpoint represents but seeing comments saying increase/decrease hi-slope, I'm finding it hard to actually grasp what changes.
  8. Thanks for the replies, I'm on the HP Tuners forum so will do a heap more reading. I do like the idea of being able to log what is happening and see how one tune compares to another. No need for multiple tunes so HP probably does suit me more.
  9. *forewarning* Total tuning noob!! So I have been looking around at flash tuner options for my 08 FG xr6t ute, originally was going to go the well trodden Xcal route but they seem very expensive for a limited use glovebox ornament. So started looking at Sniper or HP Tuners, leaning more towards the Sniper unit as it a bit more basic and suits my home tinkering ambitions. Been watching and reading as much as I can about the Sniper but it all seems to be US Mustang examples, I know fuel/timing etc can be adjusted with the Sniper but can it control boost in the FG?
  10. I already have a Garmin that has all the known spots loaded to it and gives me alerts as I approach
  11. Yeah radar/laser detectors are fairly obsolete these days as soon as the detectors picks up the Poliscan/Lidar beam the Poliscan already has a read on your speed. Laser jammers are the only way to go! As mentioned they use an unregistered frequency but there use is illegal because they interfere with a police device. Can set jammers to only jam for 5-10sec then return to being parking sensors. This way hopefully gives you enough time to jump on the brakes and get under the speed limit and if a handheld the police just think they didnt have a proper lock on at first. The issue I have at the moment is a Poliscan projects a beam about 100cm in diameter at 500m, so anything reflective (even light coloured paint) will be detected by the laser. Obviously the numberplate and lights are the best targets. Front is easy as I have plenty of options to mount 3 heads that will completely protect the front but the offset rear plate and smooth bumper on the rear make mounting options difficult. I'm wondering if on the rear I can get away with one head above the plate then coat the tail lights in Veil to help protect from a rear attack. BTW I'm not wanting jammers so I can drive like a f*ckwit, as anyone from Perth will agree speed cameras are well hidden over here on dead straight good condition roads. They are nothing but a cash cow for the government and I am sick of getting fines for doing 5km over a posted limit.
  12. Anyone have Laser jammer heads installed on the back of their ute? optimum positioning is one each side half way between tail light and number plate but due to the offset numberplate on the rear of utes this isnt really possible, so looking at some other options for set up. Cheers Mike
  13. Stock shocks all round. It has settled a small amount more since taking that pic. Havent noticed any scraping so far, even had a good 200kg+ of wood in the back the other day with no issue. Big test will come when I throw the dirt bike in the back and head down a gravel track.
