  1. thanks r8eater I had seen some low prices on this forum, but was never sure whether they were in Sydney or Brisbane will keep you posted if/when I finally buy one! cheers S
  2. related to this AC issue... does the car blow hot air when the AC is not on, and when the temp setting is on coolest? My old Mazda CX7 would blow a measured 40C when the AC was not switched on, but the outside temp was around 20C, so you had to use the AC virtually all the time! I think it was a buildup of underbonnet heat because the problem would be worse when driving the car after it was parked hot for some time.. The old Magna I'm using now blows air the same temp as outside! What's the FG range like?
  3. that's a great price r8eater, esp with all those options!! please let us know where you got that as I'm planning on buying early this week Was that for a Euro 3 or Euro 4 model? cheers Satz
  4. hi all been looking at many G6ETs, in the dealer, on the web (carsales) and on the street. Some seem to look slightly lower than others. Even though they're brand new. I know some have 19 inch wheels compared to 18, but the overall diameter of the tyre is the same, yet... the gap between top of the tyre and the wheel arch seems to be different on different cars! Almost 20mm or so.. The brochure indicates that overall height of the G6ET is the same as XR6T, and they're both lower than the base model (if one could see any of those around!!) :0 could someone shed light please... thank you
  5. Harryh, does that mean u have to use recirc all the time to get decently cool air? This is worrying me, as I was nevef happy with the cc on my mazda and was hoping a local car would have good ac. :(
  6. prudent, if you turn the temp setting down, doesn't that cause the Climate control to cycle ON more frequently? cheers S
  7. I read on another forum that Ford actually modified the AC system from the latter part of 2010 build to improve cooling Hope that's not true, as I'm looking at buying an early 2010 build G6ET...
  8. I just really cannot decide between those 2 colours. Trying to see which has been more popular...
  9. hi all wondering how the FG series Airconditioning is on a hot day? I read a thread on another forum that pretty much complained about the poor performance of the FG's AC, esp compared to BFII what are your thoughts? Esp guys who live in places that get 30C+ regularly? many thanks
  10. hi all trying to decide between Seduce and Ego for the G6ET (with Cashmere interior) Was keen on the Edge colour, but that doesn't come with Cashmere interior.... Would appreciate your input cheers
  11. thanks inasnt will look at getting the double adaptor....or maybe 'hardwiring' my Navman behind the dash where it connects to the 12v outlet?
  12. Hoping the fmic on falcons doesnt heatsoak as much as the tmic on wrx or mazdas?
  13. hi all just wondering how many 12v sockets there are in the cabin of the G6E / or XR6T? Is there just the one with the "12 V Power" label, or is there another less obvious one? It'd be good to be able to leave a Navman plugged in permanently, and still have another socket for charging a mobile I always forget to check when I go to a dealer for a look (get too distracted by all the other things on the car!) thanks S
  14. I thought the FG Turbos would run fine on 95 or 98? (or even 91) or is yours tuned for 98? cheers
  15. hi tony I didn't realise you could get an FPV cluster fitted. I guess that could be done to a stock XR6T as well? The main reason I haven't considered an Xr6 (even with luxury pack) is the blue circles around the dials ! anyway...had a second test drive of a G6ET (in fact, the same car I drove 2 weeks ago). Happy with the comfort, but the wind noise seemed higher than I last remembered... starting to lean towards the Seduce colour...though it can look a little pink at times, but it does stand out!
