SS inductions used this basic idea for their cheapo fg turbo intake for years now,its 2 screw on bits of plastic to give the ram air effect to the factory snorkel,costs 100 bucks:) They have deadset stolen that idea and made it flasher than a dog with 6 tails haha I believe this will be the new favourite mod to lower spec turbos,not unlike the old tickford snorkel,except this may cost slightly more...
  2. Its not common,similar issues as the fg. My 2012 turbo ute was purchased new and by the time it had done 15000km it had the manual gearbox rebuilt because of slop and noise,1 diff replaced because of a porous housing(within 1500 km from new),2nd diff replaced because of whining,roof lining didnt fit(new one fitted),gearboot split,cracked seatbase,tailshaft replaced because it was dodgy(vibration),some interior plastics replaced etc,there was possibly more but you get the idea I think we both got friday arvo cars,beer oclock was calling... The 2010 g6et 50th that I have now is a much better car:),more of a monday to tuesday build... Persevere with it mate,ford will get it sorted eventually,you arent alone there are much worse off new car owners out there!
