  1. Major difference in handling! I had a track day on Monday in the TypHOON and man did it feel different haha.. I put Whiteline swaybars on it a couple days before the track day, and it made such a difference already. I sold the beamer because I wanted a change, and I wanted to change before anything else in it went pop! Expensive car to fix that one haha. There are so many different cars that I want to try, the Typhoon was one of them! Plus I want to try and save more too, so going to something more affordable was also part of the reason.
  2. That's great, thank you for that!
  3. So, if my diff goes, all I need to do is purchase this and get it fitted, and I'm good to go? (let's ignore diff bushings for the purpose of this question, as they would get done too, or may have been upgraded by previous owner) http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/EATON-TRUE-TRAC-M86-BA-BF-FG-FORD-FALCON-XR6-TURBO-DETROIT-TRUTRAC-DIFF-LSD-/200912172575
  4. Mods, I'm not sure! I wanted to pump some coin in to it as soon as I got it, but other situations changed and that's where I need to focus my cash for now.. But I have a list in my head @Stever - More green is part of that list haha. @Pixy - There are some stone chips on the front (did plenty of highway with previous owner, and still does now with me at the helm too), but I think those dots you're seeing are light reflections! My lens is spotless haha.
  5. Thanks fellas! So looks like, regardless, it's going to be an expensive thing.. I don't want to "cheap out", but I also don't want to unnecessarily pay a lot more than I need to! Also I don't plan on having over 400kw lol. I don't have the financial backup to accomplish such a feat!
  6. Hey guys, It's a bit tough finding some information on this, as well as understanding it when you have no idea how it all works.. So it seems my car has some kind of "whirr" noise when cruising around 80km/h and above.. From my reading, it most likely is my rear diff (currently at 160,000km - was apparently replaced at 100,000km). In any case, is there a newer model that I could replace mine with, one that is tougher or would last longer? Or an upgrade I can do if it goes or before it goes? Or am I better off doing a rebuild and leaving it standard, or finding a new one of the same model instead. There seems to be a few companies that sell FPVs as scrap so I could pick up a newer model from one of those places, and use that instead? Like, does the FG Typhoon have a better diff? Just trying to learn my options from the helpful folk that know what they're doing, as I have no idea. Very new to this.. My car: 2006 BF Typhoon 6sp Auto
  7. Thanks for the clarification on all that, guys! Super helpful I'm going to find a local supplier of the TSW wheels, and get a test fit done. Hopefully they clear! Not that I can buy for a couple months anyway, but I like to get an idea and plan things out haha.
  8. Hey guys! This was my previous car: 2006 BMW 335i with Enkei RS05RR, Nitto INVO, Akrapovic Evolution Exhaust, Procede Vishnu tune, ER Charge Pipe, HKS SSQV (without the squeal fins lol), BC BR Coilovers. and this is my new one 2006 F6 Typhoon, stock as it could possibly be and with really crappy tyres sigh.
  9. Thanks for the info guys! And Locky, those wheels are so nice. The Japs certainly know how to do a nice set of wheels haha.. I had Enkei RS05RR on my 335i before buying the Typhoon! Would love to find a set of Work wheels, would be different to what you normally see on a Falcon! But, budgets are budgets huh :( I contacted TSW, let's see what they say! Otherwise maybe I'll find a local supplier who will let me test fit, just so I can get the sizes. :D I also would like a set of Vossen wheels, but they're stretching the budget too =/
  10. Argh! Well, that's even more annoying haha.
  11. Hey guys, I'm new here, and I've been trying to find out a bunch of information on the fitment of wheels for my car. I've just picked up a 2006 BF F6 Typhoon, and shopping around for wheels. So 2 questions, 1) What is the offset for my standards? I think they're the "twist" wheels. 2) Also, from what I've gathered through searching, these sizes/offsets should fit (ie: clear the Brembos): 19x8.5 +30/35 19x9.5 +30 20x8.5 +35 20x10 +30/42 So, should this mean, if I go a set of TSW Bathurst in 19x9 +30 and 19x10.5 +27, would I need spacers? And if so, how thick? http://wheelwarehouse.com/collections/tsw-wheels-rims/products/tsw-bathurst-silver-w-mirror-cut-face I'm new to trying to understand offsets and stuff. These are the sizes and offsets that are available, so if you have a recommendation of sorts, I'm open: 19x8 +35 19x8.5 +15 19x9 +30 19x9.5 +39 19x10.5 +27 20x8.5 +40 20x9 +20 20x9 +30 20x10 +40 20x10.5 +25
