Bumper shine inside the car? Okies I'll give it a go....

Well the silly bugger I am parked my xr6t outside the garage last night with the passenger door window ever so slightly down. It rained last night and some water got in and has left a white mark on the top of my door trim where it meets the window. Is this stained permanently or is there some product that will fix this easily? I can take some photos if required tonight...

The 6 speed autos ive driven are similar. Apparently because they change ratio from 1st to 2nd gear. They all seem to have a thud or clunk from 1>2 as well.
