  1. No worries. Let me grab the dash cam and take her for a spin Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  2. Might actually hit a gumtree if I drive it at the moment... Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  3. I hit gumtree hoping someone was wrecking a BA in their front yard! Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

  5. New pads, rotors and fluid in the BA. Fitted speedbleeders all round - somehow stripped the thread on the caliper on the last one. Stranded on jack stands now until the wreckers open tomorrow and can get another rear passenger caliper. Boo. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  6. Haha except in my case it was more of an "accidental boost reduction". Had everything off trying to diagnose a faulty coil, put it back together and missed a clamp. Went for a drive and blew a hose off, then noticed the problem had gone! Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  7. Couldn't quite understand from above whether you have tried different coils or not (so apologies if this is useless), but I recently had an issue where genuine coils gave up the ghost. Was same issue - misfire at about 3500rpm. Mechanic put no-name ones in and same issue kept happening. I put NGK in and sorted the problem. With the cheap coils, if I loosened an intake hose (so no boost) misfire went away. So basically coils were ok until under load and boost. My theory is that genuine coils died because of age. Cheap coils were ok for standard applications, but not for creating sufficient spark with increased air pressure under boost. They were no better than aged genuine coils. Good quality coils then sorted the issue. Maybe now your exhaust issues are sorted and everything breathing properly, your coils are suffering same issue. This is in a BA Turbo. Hope it helps. 8. I agree it sounds like there are a lot of factors here and a professional look over would be a good idea. I'm stock and haven't made any recent repairs etc , so my trouble shooting is a bit simpler. Those boost pressures might just be a faulty gauge - mine had a cheap one in it when I got it and shows 15psi under full load which is clearly wrong. New one going in next week. 9. Did you put new BOV in because factory one was faulty? If not, I would go back to standard and then trouble shoot from there. Can you tape in those plugs with broken clips nice and tight as a temporary test to see if that's the problem? When researching my problem, it sounded like a few people had similar issues from blocked cats too. I found that when I disconnected the hose from intercooler to throttle body (so therefore no boost) the problem went away. So my weak spark could deal with normal pressures, but not higher pressures under boost. If you tried tried the same thing it might help eliminate the problem. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  10. Exact same issue in my 04 xr6t. New coil packs sorted it. Interestingly mechanic put cheap no-name coils in, and the issue returned a few weeks later. Took car back, he identified and replaced faulty pack, only to have issue reappear a few days later. Redid it myself this time with NGKs and no problems since. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  11. I grabbed one of the Ebay ones a couple of weeks back and it's been great. Just bought a ba xr6t and it talks to that perfectly with the Torque android app. Scans for codes, plus can display a whole help of real time data from ecu.
