  1. Haha yeah. Seems to be two scenarios with these: If you want to remove the pipe "Mate those things are impossible to budge loose. It is going to take me a few hours and cost you lots of money." When you want a service: "Turbo falcon is it? Mate those nuts basically fall off by themselves and so as part of the service I need to get in there and check them. It is going to cost you a lot of money."
  2. Wow - just got a couple of quotes for installing my wideband bung. One place quoted $380 for whole job, or $80 if I remove the dump myself. Second place was $130/$30. Pays to ring around.
  3. Good stuff! I'm back foruming again. After a year long Windows 10 phone experiment, I chucked in the towel in frustration and used my wife's old Galaxy S5 for a bit. Forum hasn't worked on Tapatalk for a couple of weeks and would crash on Chrome on the Galaxy (phone was old and generally unstable). New phone arrived Monday and it's good to be back on a decent Android phone. I actually liked the Windows phone concept and mobile sites generally made up for the lack of apps. But fark me the thing was glitchy. It got software updates all the time that would fix one thing and break something else. Yay my Bluetooth works properly again! Oh crap now my browser doesn't.
  4. Haha a mechanic said exactly that to me once!
  5. The safety thing is only partly true too - you should assume the jack is going to fail. I've got a steel Torin low profile that was only $170ish from Sydney tools. Super stable and big range of movement for the handle, but weighs an absolute ton.
  6. I booked accommodation and then asked for leave [emoji5]
  7. Good job! It is amazing how much you can improve a place by fixing up the small things. I'm about to arrange a bathroom renovation (whole box and dice - walls are asbestos a d bathroom is 45 years old) so looking forward to ditching the shower curtain. Flicked the picture of the bed base to my missus - stuff stored on the floor under the bed annoys the sh! t out of me! This is perfect.
  8. Good job Keith! My boot just serves to remind me of all the stuff I haven't finished doing to my car.
  9. You'll be fine. Just like going for a drive on a slightly cooler day!
  10. Haha yeah that was just a screenshot error. But yep, it's under that tab. Somehow I missed all of the sub tabs under the TM tab. Makes much more sense now! Thanks fellas.
  11. Thanks man. Must be something to do with it being trial version or something. I get:
  12. I suspect this is the dumbest question I have ever asked, and I will probably smack myself in the forehead when I hear the answer. But where the heck is the desired boost table in HP Tuners?? The only thing I can see is the overboost/underboost data in the Diagnostics\Airflow section. I'm assuming that there is a table to set target boost at whatever RPM vs load (and then the over/under boost bit says what the wastegate does when targets are exceeded by the set threshold), but I can't see it for the life of me. I'm looking at a BA XR6T stock file. I'm using the demo version, but I thought that was full featured just without the save option.
  13. Accommodation booked! I should buy HP Tuners before then and tune the car on the trip. Or maybe not...
  14. So good. I'm guessing that was shot from the camera under Fernando Alonso's engine cover.
  15. Have you got something to pull the error codes for the Check Engine Light?
  16. I'm sending it to Australia's Got Talent
  17. Haha just reminded me I was stuck in traffic this morning which is rare in Canberra. FG Ute in front of me got fed up and so ripped a skid while everyone around him was almost stationary. I was laughing so hard I forgot to switch my vents to recirc.
  18. Yeah sorry looks like maybe not. That part on Bosch site: https://au.bosch-automotive-shop.com/products/details/-/productdetails/0280160575/pressure-regulator-0280160575-single
  19. TI Performance are listing a Bosch 4 bar fpr for $89. Bosch part no. 0 280 160 575
  20. Haha yep - and I used to have a Mexican car too: the El Falcon. Actually the wife is Mexican - she was born in Vic. Looks like I'm going on a camping trip the weekend after the Snowy's cruise... In the Snowy's. Fun times! Pity I'll need to take the Toyota for that one. Two dads and 4 kids.
  21. Haha I was looking at that exact pump from that exact supplier about half an hour ago! Probably good insurance when I start tweaking rather than relying on my 2004 original.
  22. I've only done a BA, but yes it is a very simple job. Assuming it is the same as BA, the only trick might be to use a jack under the lower control arm to help compress the spring a little to get the lower shock bolt back in. Top mount of shock can need a little convincing too - I loosened the bolts holding the bracket to the body to help get the new shock in place then retightened.
  23. Sorry just the 3 for me - I'll have to be back for work.
