  1. Bath room in progress. Old one was 46 years old! Tiling starts today..
  2. How about now? Pity in some ways because it takes the sting out of the series a bit...
  3. They could, but they tend to collapse
  4. I am. England are farked after that wicket. Probably lose 6/22 now.
  5. Not yet - current forecast is for rain until about 2024! Might have to wait until the new year.
  6. Haha stuff that. I'll stick with the way you guys did it.
  7. Needless to say my camping trip in the Snowys didn't go ahead. Khancoban is forecast for up to 170mm today!
  8. That was an interesting read. I did front hubs on the EL twice (they are integral with the disc) so you have to grease the bearings, assemble it all up on the spindle and adjust the outer nut to get the right tension. Am I reading this right that you basically just slap on a hub with the bearings pre-assembled and greased inside and then just tighten the dark out of the retaining nut? If so, sweet. Mine are probably 160k old so might do as preventative maintenance next time I've got the calipers off.
  9. Thanks again guys - that was an absolutely brilliant weekend. Great company, great roads, great cars. I've never really had an opportunity to do a proper road since I got that car and the car quite honestly blew my mind. Feel like I got the hang of getting the best out of it on the way back along what was a great road through Namadji National Park. It is a road to nowhere and joins suburbia about 15 mins from my house...
  10. Road through Namadji was brilliant - made enduring the dirt road beforehand worthwhile. Plus the start of it is 20 mins from home.
  11. Which colour do you like best?
  12. Have a great trip up! Just finishing all the work I didn't do yesterday, then I'll wash the car and head out myself.
  13. Yeah I'm interested in having a look at one ?
  14. Just vacuumed the car including under the kids' car seats. I'm surprised the vacuum still works...
  15. Yep that's the one![emoji41] New fluid looked a bit nicer! Bit of crud at the bottom of the reservoir but nothing too serious.
  16. Yep I'm happy to do that! Gave the car a once over today to get it ready. Changed this filth:
  17. Speed bleeders I fitted last fluid change are paying for themselves nicely!
  18. No idea, but how far are you reversing that you get bored and need music? [emoji3]
  19. Speaking of buying second hand stuff, anyone upgraded to brembos and want to sell off the brackets that suit 322mm discs? Up for new discs soonish so figured I might as well upgrade. I like the factory look I've got going on the BA so unlikely to upgrade to bigger wheels to suit brembos.
  20. Yeah I reckon my ACT gumtree experiences have been a lot less weird than my SA gumtree experiences. On average at least - there is always a weirdo or two!
  21. Awesome gumtree experience yesterday. Chucked a couple of left over roof sheets left over from the cubby house build on gumtree for free. Guy who picked them up gave me a 6 pack and said thanks for taking the time to put them up and not just dump them. Win win all round!
  22. Saw ad on gumtree for a cricket box. I dunno, there's some things I think you should just buy new.
  23. Do you mean you just glued up your cracked one? I replaced mine with a chrome one (switched my interior door handles to Fairmont ones) so you can have my old one if it is useful.
  24. Not sure what your background is, but as a non-mechanic myself I've found that it is virtually impossible to diagnose suspension stuff yourself (unless a shock is stuffed or a bush is so bad it is visibly deteriorated). The loads on suspension are very difficult to replicate when lying under the car in the driveway. A suspension place will look over it for free usually, especially if you pay for an alignment or balance. Just go somewhere where you won't get any, errrm, bull. A check over yourself will eliminate anything obvious. I had noise the other day and the exhaust place hadn't re-tightened my sway bar mounts after refitting the dump. Fixed in two minutes. A have a couple of creaks and knocks in my BA and have been told everything is fine but it is a Falcon. So prepare to get a louder exhaust or stereo if everything else is checked and ok!
