  1. That sucks mate - hope it heals quick My finger splint is meant to come off on Saturday. Had an x-ray yesterday and it hasn't healed at all due to how unstable the fracture is, so 6 weeks starts again. I feel your frustration!
  2. Did LOL
  3. Diff bushes
  4. While he is offline we can all post twice in a row, post in the wrong thread etc
  5. Enjoy it Keith!
  6. Yep!
  7. Awesome! Yeah factory bushes at the moment - picked.up they were toast before o bought it and so they had new Ford bushes installed. Can't complain too much about 5 years given its modified and has done plenty of hard on/off throttle on Snowys cruises! Actually I meant to say thanks - turns out my factory workshop manual download was missing a bunch of items, including rear suspension. The other day I found a link of yours in a thread and downloaded again.
  8. I knew it was coming, but left front diff bush left the chat. One of the UCA bushes has had some play for a while so I'll do the whole lot at once. Saw a good sale and scored Superpro hybrid centre and rear diff bushes, plus replacement UCAs for about $600. If you haven't pulled a cradle in the driveway, are you even a Falcon owner??
  9. Very annoying when you drive into the country and see fuel 10c cheaper than Canberra
  10. 11.8 cents per litre cheaper than my local, that's what lol
  11. Ended up with a similar issue myself. When turning the key to crank nothing would happen. Click back to off and try again and off she goes. This happened once every 3 months or so. Then the last couple of days I suddenly need 3 or 4 goes to start the car. Confirmed with a test light there is no power through the starter circuit from the ignition switch on the start attempts that fail. So just ordered a new ignition switch. Went non-genuine as it was literally 10x the price to get genuine.
  12. [emoji23] I too am happy to have reduced my breast size
  13. Still no progress on this one - having one usable hand for a while isn't going to get it done! In the meantime I've bought a raw rocker cover and will get it powder coated. Can't decide what colour. Then I either wait until my hand has healed, pay someone or supervise the 12 year old to do it
  14. Here is a brief video summary of above comments: I think a lot of the time people criticise healthy decisions to justify their own unhealthy decisions
  15. A couple of years back I emailed foacust1@ford.com with my details and the vehicle details. They can send you a verification letter that confirms exactly what options your car had when it was sold. Easier way too as Puff says, but the letter is interesting as it it tells you how many were manufactured in your paint colour, with your factory options, transmission etc
  16. That's if the rocker cover gasket suspicion doesn't play out how I hope For the rocker cover I'll just remove coils, plugs and diff bushes
  17. Honey, leave the manifolds on and just lift them out with the head
  18. It's the only way to play. Got all the bits together to do the rocker cover gasket but might not attempt it one handed!
  19. Nice. I did the same last night.
  20. Happy birthday mate! Have a steak.
  21. One thing I'm trying to do this year now that I'm exercising more regularly is to not let easy excuses like being busy get in the way. Otherwise I skip a week and it runs into 6 months. So if I travel I take my running gear. Turns out it is actually I nice way to see a bit more of whatever city I'm in. So did a 7km run at sub 5:00min/km in Brisbane this morning. Here's my big bald head to prove it.
  22. Small update: some more info today. Not conclusive but a step in the right direction. A mate's brother in law is a mechanic and so we put the car on his hoist today and poked around with the inspection camera for a while. Definitely lots of oil around the head gasket, however we DID find some oil up higher leaking around the inlet manifold. So I'm hoping that the rocker cover is leaking, running either side of an intake runner on the manifold and then settling a bit where the head gasket stocks out and spreading from there. Still might be both! I've got a minor leak on the other side above the power steering pump from the rocker cover gasket and I wouldn't mind painting my rocker cover, so I reckon I'll tackle that, clean everything up and see what happens. Only costs me a rocker cover gasket to try. Unfortunately we also saw the rear main was leaking. That was replaced earlier this year so should be a warranty job but have to go back to someone and break the news that they have to remove and refit the transmission for no charge.
  23. There's probably a few threads on here with all the details, and some YouToobs, but I think you will need to consider - Tailshaft might be different length when switching to the ZF and you will have non-LSD -Engine computer needs to match the body control module and ignition barrel, or will require recoding? -Some extra wiring for wastegate control if you don't have the loom from the other far (or just run gate pressure to start with) -Brakes are different on the front but not required to get it running of course -Fuel pump might be different? Not needed to get it running Some of the other threads or others who have done this before will know the answers to some of this. As Keith said, definitely plan for more than a weekend.
  24. Last footy training for the kids last night, so hopefully will make it to the next one!
  25. I keep seeing that car in the club app and doing a double take as my FG is the same colour with the same wheels. Keep meaning to start getting along to some club stuff.
