Should be interesting - keeping the 76 or using my 30k old 82 has been an open question in my mind. Realistically, a cat, a pump and some 968s with the 76 is going to be more than enough to make a great daily.

Morning Keith! Car pick up day for me. Bit annoyed on the bus. Taking the 7 year old with me to Sydney. Bus load of people and only single seats left as we boarded. Not a single person offered to move so we could sit together. Plus numerous people were intentionaly sitting in aisle seats hoping to get a row to themselves.

Haha on carsales and gumtree over the past week I've seen some pretty disgusting customisations. Now I'm not even sure I want gauges on top of the ICC in the FG. Might go underneath instead.

At the risk of a knee-jerk reaction, $9k on car sales gets you a stock July 07 BF with 146k on it and a ZF. Could nick the exhaust, wideband and new turbo out of mine, take my time chucking in a new diff centre and then sell it...

Yeah could be, except I need the car! Need to look into all the options, but going second hand etc doesn't really seem worth it - should do it properly if I'm investing that much time or money. Cars, hey.

Just got the call - diff is done and needs to be overhauled. They reckon a tooth broke off something and will be about $2.5k. They are going to give me some options when I pick it up. Will start some research.

Yeah good idea to grab a spare liner to practice on and experiment. I'll look out for the Queanbeyan guy when my BA needs doing. Lots of stuff is cheaper there than in the ACT itself. Noticed when I installed the dashcam that a couple of spots on the leading edge were starting to lift.

Go Facebook style and leave turbo badges off and then get custom plates telling everyone your car is turbo...

Haha it's Canberra - will be crap quality and overpriced! I looked into it for my EL a couple years back, and I think it was these guys I spoke to who sounded good. Was going to be about $400, but ended up selling the car. https://www.stevesupholstery.com.au/ I also looked into DIY, but would probably get it done professionally I think. Might save a couple of hundred, but would be difficult to get a decent result. Don't muck around with the spray adhesive stuff to repair it - the foam inside breaks down so the adhesive doesn't help.

Hopefully not - the one in there only has 20k on it!
