  1. I didn't take a pic unfortunately but it was a few centimetres from memory. I was a bit unsure what to do beforehand, but once you remove the old caliper and got to test fit the new one, it will be obvious what needs trimming and by how much. Then it's just trial and test. You need to watch what you are doing so you don't hit something else with the angle grinder. I only had a 5" grinder - something smaller would probably be easier.
  2. If you grab Territory rear calipers you can fit 328mm vented rotors, which is what lots of people do. I did this on my FG. You have to trim the backing plate a little to clear the caliper (and touch it up with paint to stop it rusting where you cut). Is easier to make the Territory brake lines fit rather than using the Falcon ones, but it is possible.
  3. Haha I joined a few weeks ago and the advice I've read on there is.... terrible.
  4. I had one of these in my BA for Bluetooth streaming: https://www.anker.com/uk/products/variant/soundsync-drive/A3351011 Haven't bothered putting it in my FG - I just plug into the Aux next to the 12v socket in the centre console. I should though.
  5. Once the security is disabled, you probably don't need much other than the engine and ECU from an electronics perspective. Bolting the thing up is a different story. This thread has some useful info on the specifics of configuring a factory ECU to run the engine without any associated security stuff or the ABS module. Probably more detail than you need (goes into specific changes to ECU parameters) but useful reading nonetheless. https://forum.pcmtec.com/index.php?/topic/32-howto-run-pcm-standalone-eg-engine-swap-pats-disable-and-speed-source-setup/ Are you planning turbo or NA and what transmission?
  6. Actually this link is better - this is where I bought mine from https://www.digikey.com.au/product-detail/en/dlp-design-inc/DLP-IO8-G/813-1010-ND/1894342
  7. I've got the Intune piping on my FG and am very happy with it. Fitted up well (bit of a jigsaw doing it the first time). Quality seems very good. Have their intake muffler delete too and together they make the induction noise much better. Will do the throttle elbow at some stage so that all the plastic stuff is gone.

  9. It goes alright [emoji102] Bit more tweaking to do once work settles down in a few weeks. Hopefully that lines up with the logging functionality! Dan, was that the hose from inside the tank?
  10. Installed data capture thingo for my wideband, ready for PCMTEC data logging feature. Then washed it.
  11. Top beer indeed. Was just discussing the same at work.
  12. This was a tune from a Sydney workshop that was in it when I bought it - wasn't something I did! Too much fuel cost to go and see Jet.
  13. Which thread has the longest elapsed time since its last activity? Asking for a friend.
  14. Speaking of which, my car got 10.4 on that freshly-tuned trip over the mountains. Some cruising at 100kmh but lots of tight twisties too. Keith remember my car only just getting to Jindabyne while you guys all had heaps of fuel left? Got rid of all the silly 0.6 lambda stuff that was in the tune when I bought it.
  15. Haha, yeah figured that where you are! My wife had a 100k freeway to work pretty much the whole way. Is amazing the difference it makes to fuel.economy.
  16. Yeah only a matter of time for that bloke I reckon
  17. You are pushing more boost than me, but yikes!
  18. Haha cold air for the win. Most mornings here at the moment are 2 or 3 degrees when I leave for work. Get a long, uphill onramp onto a highway during the commute. Turbo is cramming air down the engine's throat with intake air temps reading well and truly in the single digits.
  19. If you haven't dropped a diff cradle in a concrete driveway at night in the middle of a Canberra winter, you haven't lived!
  20. When I wrecked my BA, I had a conversation with my wife about putting the motor into a Jag XJ6 and getting a number plate "LAGUAR". It was a short conversation. The security stuff on the factory ECU can easily be disabled so that you dont need to run the associated body control hardware and is definitely a cheaper option than a Haltech.
