  1. Nup - was one private owner before me. Factory option maybe?
  2. Can't see a scenario where we will need two cars for a while, so pulled the FG off the road to do everything single thing I can think of on my list. Is nice to rip off all piping, heat shielding etc and get some easy access. Ordered a turbo oil feed kit and a turbo side intake and battery relo while I was at it. Just noticed the car has an oil cooler behind the oil filter, plumbed into the cooling system. My BA didn't - is this an FG thing? I thought it was FPV only but maybe someone added it at some stage.
  3. Yeah mine were low, not super low. But new springs are stiffer than old springs. With super low you might have more chance of using the car and a jack to re-assemble in the car, but yeah car is not drivable for the foreseeable future if it doesn't work.
  4. Thanks mate I'll do that and see what it shows
  5. Removing the whole strut (shock and spring assembly) is easy without compressors. Be very very careful if doing the job without spring compressors - people have killed themselves trying. I found with new Kings BA springs, I couldn't compress them enough with spring compressors to install back onto the shock, so had to go to a shop. They said they sometimes break their wall mounted compressors doing it. If you try without spring compressors, you need to be ok with the risk you won't be able to get them back in afterwards. Can you order compressors online?
  6. Anyone seen this before? About a min after startup, idle starts hunting - sounds like it's got a big cam in it. You can see on the wideband the AFR is all over the place. Ignition timing is about -4 degrees After about a minute of that, it settles down to a steady idle and behaves itself, goes back to a more normal +15 ignition timing at idle. Has always done it occasionally but seems much more frequent lately. I should data log the cam angle sensors.
  7. Yep, with daily trips to Khancoban for a BBQ and some twisties
  8. Stopped at Ford to grab an oxygen sensor. $320! Genuine Bosch from TI Performance $49. Ordered.
  9. Yeah and I think Kings sort that out through the spring design anyway. This picture shows the Lovells setup.
  10. Yeah the difference was ridiculous. They apparently do it on purpose so it levels out at speed. Not sure if that is still the case - my Konis are stickered 2014 so I assume the springs were done at the same time. Had a mate who was cycling home and saw me driving. Sent me a text asking why the fark my car had so much rake. Decided it was time to pull the trigger.
  11. Had Lovells springs front and rear, which leave the rear sitting higher than the front. Fitted Kings SSLs to the rear last night. Much better! Before and after pics of the rear.
  12. Good job. The rears can be a *beep* first time you do them. Mind you the fronts on the Kluger needed persuasion from a mallet due to some corrosion.
  13. Haha yep. Makes sense - the good set is some fancy brand and was a wedding present. Should have put the fork in the camping set and waited until she found it next time.
  14. Haha yep - is apparently meant to live in the special padded box in the bottom of another cupboard. Is like mixing up the weekender with the daily.
  15. Had a fork from the 'good' cutlery set floating around in the cutlery drawer. Had been there for six months. Just fixed that problem. Working from home has its benefits.
  16. Most of us just cut a couple of extra holes in the air box, below the air filter to get the same result!
  17. Casual workers who lose their jobs will immediately become welfare recipients (and usual waiting periods are being waived). That's the idea of targeting welfare recipients - that group will include the newly unemployed
  18. Yep - if you swap an FG ZF for another FG ZF you still need to grab the TCM out of your old one as it's mated to your car.
  19. Made up a thing and leak tested pressurised the intake system. There's some hissing down in the front bar. Past Andrew left the hose clamps facing forwards, so I could get a socket through the grill and tighten but it didn't help. Think I'll have to remove the front bar and reposition some of the silicone joiners. At least I found something though!
  20. I think we can all agree though - even without the whole coronavirus thing going on,@bloodycrashboy shouldn't be allowed back in the country [emoji2957]
  21. So basically the turbo, with the wastegate shut, is able to overcome the boost leaking out of the fitting in the compressor cover?
  22. Exhaust place put an inspection camera through the exhaust and removed the dump, checked the wastegate, turbine housing, turbo bearings and exhaust manifold. Also checked what they could in terms of intercooler pipe leaks. Didn't find any issues. I think I might try to make something up to pressure test, or get tested, my intake system. Just a question on the wastegate test - if I'm disconnecting the line from the compressor housing so there is no boost reference to the wastegate, wouldn't that create a massive boost leak anyway? Given I bought a new solenoid, I might just fit it anyway.
  23. Most people seem to like the Superpro trailing arms. Ive been happy with them so far - seem to handle well and no increased NVH compared to stock.
