  1. Well done Spiro.... takes me back to the first time I ran the AU on ET Streets, first pass the car went 11.04 @ 132 and I had just beaten the manual modular time (which was 11.3 @127 done by a ute with slicks and frontrunners)...... to be honest I was considering calling it a day, but I was given another chance to run. 10.98 @ 130mph was the result.... it happens that quick. Getting to know the car after that just made things better and better, with better launches and shifts (never flatchanging though, I just cant bring myself to do it!) allowing my car to run as good as 10.78 with mph consistantly in the 135-137mph range before the clutch let go...... The long winded point I am coming to is this: My car had 850lb front springs and Koni's setup more for street/circuit in mind, weighed 2005kg with me in it, on drag radials with 507rwkw..... I came from 10.98 @ 130 to 10.78 @ 136 with just time behind the wheel and no other changes.........That monster of yours, with that power and that setup is going to get a hell of a lot faster I reckon! Again, well done. Daniel
  2. I have been expressing my opinion on AFF for 5 years now with thousands of posts...... The mods there know where I'm at.... I have no probs there and have plenty of respect to go with it. Peace out. Daniel
  3. So you delete the posts of the people that stand for treating people as humans? That's why I have never been a solid contributor on here, the standards are twisted and warped and the posting biased towards those nut swingers that love the mods. AFF is a forums for grown ups, this one is for kids...... dont even bother with the jokers on anti-lag..... they crash other peoples carshow stands and harass their women. Weak. Daniel
  4. Good luck with this, We have watched Phil Watson over here with great anticipation over the years first with his ZF running a 11.16 then his T56 car running an 11.13........ you guys (with the conditions not working against you) should eclipse that comfortably. Phil has been sitting on his hands for so long..... something like this will get his heart pumping hard!!! Good luck fellas, the 10 is there for the taking! Daniel

Well done mate, you were pretty excited when I got the call...... damn that's getting close to 900rwhp. More boost sir?? Daniel

Hey Birchy, when do we get to pump our twinscrews up to that level.... I know your happy with your ute mate but I need to fit that smaller blower pulley to the TS50 and try and make 625rwkw Daniel
  7. Stopped in for 10 minutes on the way home from work..... would have loved to have stayed and met of few more of you guys but the Mrs gave me the message You got a good buch of guys backin you up there Simon.... I didnt know you were so popular Daniel
  8. Yeh, that Simon is a bad man, I think he made Ramon hang on for dear life in my AU last Friday night as well. Why does he feel the need to drive cars so HARD! Daniel
  9. Spotted "Ultimate Silver" GT-R tonight on the Roe HWY... turned onto Toodyay road on its way to Jane Brook. I was in front in the "Terminator" He got a shock when the busted-arse AU left him many car lengths back after the traffic tuned off at the Caltex, I know it was a cheap shot, but the lumpy twin 4" exhaust, R888's on the back and "TERMNATOR" number plates should have made him show just a little respect. Hope he dosent do anything silly tonight Also spotted an Ego BF? XR6T, had some fun with him too. Daniel

  11. Great result Dave you are really flying the flag. Daniel
  12. Hey mate great result as posted prior. Not to make an argument with you, but I think the car would struggle to make that same power on 98 octane ULP (Unless you are actively pulling timing on the E85). Even with the same timing and boost level the cars make more power on Alchohol based fuels due to high oxygenation levels and charge cooling effect. 25rwkw is not unheard of even at 15psi and no other changes apart from adding the required fuel to maintain AFR's. I do agree with the safety margin 100% and have seen it first hand but I am just saying that all else being equal, E85 will make more power regardless. Again, a great result you guys got and I take my hat off top you. Daniel
  13. It's not just the high ocatane rating though, the performance increase is aided by huge charge cooling compared to ULP fuels (which gives effective knock resistance due to temp and denser charge) and that the mass of the exhaust gases is greater....... spooling the turbo harder and earlier. I have a proper hardon for it. Daniel
  14. Awesome result full weight. That E85 is the best $h!t man ever poured in a fuel tank and will look after those factory pistons better than race ULP ever will. Stock IRS components makes this an even better achievement and would have to be the best and strongest outing with a stock ZF/IRS driveline yet. Very well done! Daniel
  15. Ok, it didnt seem right (the cars only having 6 degrees ignition timing) it is actually 6 degrees of VARIANCE that is the rule: An extract from the Season 2009 operations manual: 14.2.4 The ignition timing of any engine must not vary by more than six (6) degrees while the engine is above 4,000 rpm and above 10 percent (10%) throttle opening. In other words, if at 4001rpm and 11% throttle you had 18 degrees of timing, at any point up to either 7500rpm and/or 100% throttle, you would be limited to a maximum of 24 degrees of timing. Daniel
  16. I have lots of toys...... I just happen to like AU's
  17. .....and that the valvetrains are stripped and rebuilt/replaced every 1500kms and engines freshened up every 3000kms. They are not exactly tractable below 2500rpm and would not pass any semblance of an emmission or sound test. Add in that the cars are gutted and weight 1350kg, and you can see how that measly little 5L is not doing it so tough after all. Full credit to any N/A 5L running a 10.8 @ 134, but all of the above teamed with a sequential manual and full spool rear end ensures that the racecar performs as you would expect. Who told you they only run 6 degrees of timing max? Daniel
  18. Cracked out the F6 for a fang...... freakin fast on the 888's Daniel
  19. Phil ran 11.13 @ 127mph a couple of months back. A fresh clutch, some more rpm and a bit of luck will net him a 10. Daniel
  20. C'mon mate, you need to harden up, I ran an 11.30 @ 131mph on R888's in a 4400lb RWD car at the Heathcote event. Bolted the 18" ET street II's on and the car PB'd a 10.78 @ 136mph Great event, will be attending for sure next year. Daniel
  21. Yeah, should do. BTW, it's not the fastest Modular overall, just the fastest Manual trans one. Thanks for an awesome day Simon, the AU was running super-strong and never missed a beat all day. My 10.98 and Phils 11.13 has cemented a few records for ya mate: Quickest Manual F6/XR6T Quickest Manual Modular/Boss Quickest AU That's to go on top of the numerous other accolades and records you have. Well Done mate, your class is shining through again. Daniel
  22. You dont want to know how many times I have watched that Viper Vid on youtube. Fricking awesome! Daniel
