  1. As the lads have said above. It should definitely be looked over by someone who knows these cars. It may be okay, but it also might be a recipe for problems. It has all the goodies just sitting there to be at least running at 315- 330 kw's at 14.5- 15psi safely.
  2. At the end of the day mate you've saved bucket loads of coins by doing so much work on the car yourself it wouldn't hurt to get the tuner to install the injectors he prefers to tune with. Install the big pot walbro and fit a cat back exhaust yourself then send it to ya tuner. He can work his magic. Consider valve springs and a wastegate actuator if your gonna start chasing kw's.
  3. Yeah heard this on the radio this morning. The dipsh¡t tried to return it to one of our local foodlands (Drakes) they refused to refund it, because he is one of the foookwits that has been causing major stress for the smaller supermarkets and pharmacies around the state. Not to mention the people who needed to get basic item's but shelves had been stripped dry by panicking selfish greedy cops. 150 packs of crud paper. Profiteering right there.
  4. Definitely go the Big pot walbro, the kits are pretty straight forward. Just remember to get the fuel line removal tools from burson's. But you may already have these little plastic tools. There is a write up on here that I used when I installed my walbro kit.
  5. Keith is bang on the money. Also get a shop to do the rear bushes and trailing arms. You tube videos can be miss leading. It's a decent sized job to tackle at home with a trolley jack and jacks stands. I just removed my tailshaft to replace centre bearing using tips from boob tube and one made it look so easy. Absolutely not. Uni's are a *beep* to remove as is, yoke nut was over torqued up. Centre bearing put up a fight when removing it. Got the job done but it definitely wasn't fun.
  6. I suppose the benefits are ya not for ever vacuuming up cat hair, removing cat hair from ya clothes, removing cat hair from your food and removing cat hair from just about everything frigging thing. Non- benefits are the thing looks like a bat with no wings with those ears.
  7. Ya only a couple of years late with ya reply bum pirate. Check the dates of Hirdys post. Arrrr me hartys
  8. Return the pump and get the full direct replacement pot and pump assembly. Get the Big pot as well. Don't make the mistake I did and get the smaller one. Or search the forum there are how to. threads on here that show ya how to install the pump in the pot you already have.
  9. Oh dear. That's why I shop at Woolies.
  10. Insurance companies insure us against illegal theft, when in actual fact there legally thieving from us every month/year by jacking up premiums by 18% annually. ACCC should get involved but some how they leave them to go about there business unchecked or governed. Feel free people to post up your vehicle and insurance company and the premiums ya pay so everyone can compare.

    This thread OMG WTF.
  13. The problem is these days alot of the premium ford gear has been snapped up and there becoming hard to get so sellers know that. Result is the price is alot higher than ya wanna pay or what there actually worth. Ya best chance is to go and look around a few Victorian wreckers or ring them, you just might find what your looking for. I did, I was looking for FG mk2 limited edition 19's and just happened to walk into a wreckers in Adelaide after turbo bolts and found a full set of the rims I was after. There out there, you have to hunt or just pay close to what people want for them.
  14. The Empire Stripes Black........
  15. None of this makes sense. If ya talking about using a gas engine then swapping out the weaker rods, why would you just use any barra long motor and put a set of H beam rods in it and go from there. Gas or no gas it's all void if you open up the engine and rebuild it. If you don't know the difference between a long motor and a short motor ya probably not doing the rods and pistons yourself, so the engine builder will steer you in the right direction. Or just buy a fg long motor or $6000 F6 motor out of a wreck. No cheap engine builds, it don't exist unless you build them yourself.
  16. I was thinking the same thing. I hope he's alright, he hasn't posted anything for a while. Then he sent me a Christmas text. Good work nath. When this sh!t hot weather pisses off I will venture up your way and say gday
  17. I have owned to many cars to remember them all. But most important ones worth a mention are : XY Ute 351 C4 9inch Detroit locker with 4.11's Two pac white, recaro buckets and Centreline wheels. 2006 BF F6 TYPHOON T56 manual. Shockwave blue. One owner when bought it 09. Remained stock till the sad day when I sold it. 2005 BA Mk2 Xr6t T56 manual. Silhouette black. One owner. Premium sound. 19inch Limited edition wheels. With all the goods supporting a comfortable 315 rwkw's at 14.5 psi Jet tune
  18. Surely there's a Club FG over there, because there everywhere over here. They'd have to be global by now.
  19. Definitely follow the wise suggestions from the lads above. No point break the engine to see how much it takes to break it. There's multiple heartbreaking stories in amongst these pages of this forum of guys and tuners who have reached for the sky only to come crashing back down to earth with a fist sized hole in there engine block. Save ya cash for some good tyres and multiple sets, because ya gonna need them when ya turn up the boost on these barra engines.
  20. Renovations specialist. Make dreams come true. Work for a company now. Was self employed for many many years. Being at a company is alot less stressful. I do alot of Tiling, Gyprocking, cornice fixing, concrete work and build wall frames/ general carpentary. Plus Job Supervisors role. So it keeps me busy.
  21. Such a cool build, was getting a worried it was gonna be naturally aspirated, but then the pics above appeared. Worries gone ... Definitely shows this should have been a global platform engine/car combo, ford really missed the target on that side of things. We might still have the barra in production today but as standard kit in some ford ranger raptors. Definitely getting close to firing it up Selective. Nice work buddy.
  22. And there ya have it. BOOM!! #Mic drop, walk away. Another life saved... Fark that's a sexy piece of machinery.
  23. We have plenty of good quality sand, take that instead and keep ya mits of our Barra's. There a rare commodity now since Ford America and GM decided to shut down production here and head back home to the states so they can sell us all there junk SUV's that are produced in Thailand and Mexico.
  24. Something doesn't add up, you've had plenty of xr6t's -got all the modified part's including a 3576 an upgraded turbo. But no tuna. Something smells fishy, like bad tuna. Anyway your baby will be fine in the capable hands of a tuna like jet. He's got my vote. Jet for prime minister.
  25. Funny you mentioned them, that's where I found my wheels. I have been buying stuff from them on and off for a few years. Never had a problem with them. Prices are very reasonable. It would be handy if they were a bit closer but 35-40 mins away ain't to bad. I second that Rab, for oem rims there definitely the best ford came up with. Some other fpv rims come close but are suited to certain fpv's( I.e. dark argent typhoon/f6 combo.)
