  1. Trance all the way!! Armin van Buuren, Ronski Speed, Tiesto, John O'Callaghan, Rank 1, John 00 Fleming, the list goes on and on!!
  2. They are called "Go Gear Racing Services".
  3. Saw an acid rush T with mags at Bailey Automatics today.... anyone from here?
  4. 99% of people here will not drive their car hard enough, and LONG enough for engine temps to rise above what the heat dissipation of the cooling system can provide. For most people they want maximum power when overtaking, or shooting off from a set of traffic lights... not for a race track where high sustained load is encountered. To put it simply - given that engine timing advance is a direct function of engine coolant temp: Engine temp at 92degrees, (allowable timing = 'x' degrees) car put outs *195rwkws, and; Engine temp at 87degrees, (allowable timing = 'x' + 'y' degrees) car puts out *205rwkws THEREFORE when you want to FANG it from the lights or for overtaking, maximum power is available due to maximum timing advance being allowable! * = arbitrary values
  5. No.. the people who are saying that their needle sits at 1/4 are saying they have had a lower temperature thermostat FITTED - NOT the stock thermostat. Everyone here with the stock thermostat will say that their temp needle sits maybe a needle or two under halfway to halfway under normal driving conditions. I think the stock thermostat is rated at 92 degrees C. The lower temperature thermostat DOES enable the engine run cooler under normal operating conditions as it is fully open (at say 82 degrees) THUS allowing the tuner to add more spark advance as there is less propensity for detonation, (modified Master Coolant Temp vs Spark Advance table?) and ALSO accordingly setting the thermo fans to continue running until the coolant is at this 82 degrees before switching the fans off. By using the thermofans, the engine temps CAN be kept lower with the lower temp thermostat as opposed to the factory 92 degree thermostat. As Jimmy said, his thermo's were running flat chat in the cold weather.. Why? Because after his car was edited, the thermo fans were set to only switch off at 82 degrees, (to match the 82 degree thermostat) but the factory thermostat (92deg) would not allow the engine temp to get this low as it would close up and stop the circulation of water into the radiator.... And just so you know, you can get a lower temp thermostat for the same price as a regular one... give or take a few bucks here or there.
  6. It's normally OK to push start the vehicel so long as the engine/exhaust is cold. If the engine is at operating temp it should NOT be attempted for the reasons Ninka stated above.

  8. I'm not sure about the others, but I know Peak petrol station in Pearsall has 98 RON fuel also. I personally haven't tried it, but has anyone here? Steve??
  9. If his is auto I reckon you will hose him. Even if its not, I still reckon you will beat him. Just make sure you become familiar with stalling up the auto to get some boost off the line.
  10. Do the personalised blue style plates "DAN - 122" belong to anyone here? On Monday at around 9:10am I stopped at a set of red lights on Karrinyup road. This girl in the car behind me who also comes to a stop, (she's driving a Silhouette XR6T) she pulls out her pink Motorola V3/V3x and takes a photo of the a$$ end of my car? Hmmmmmm....
  11. When I go, I am normally there and seated by 4:30am near the esses. If you get there much later, all the prime real estate has been taken!
  12. tell us more m8 ← Erm.... I think it was a pi$$ take....
  13. I know the spot also...... tough luck mate... I know technically you did the wrong thing, but still, we've all done it, and $350 and 5 points is a bit steep! So did you get booked for doing 40+ over the limit?? Cos I thought that was now a $1000 fine here in WA?? Or did he say somewhere in the 90's?
  14. Hey Dags, We've all been there mate!! Nothing worse than having some VL Turbo loser next to you gassing the throttle at the red light and then there also being some awesome eye candy passing by at the same time!!! Which do I watch?? I wanna teach this little punk a lesson... but... the eye candy.... *drool* haha. It's a bad scene I know LOL... I'm sure most if not all of the people on this forum know what you mean! Cheers, Ross
  15. Yeah mate, I have had one run with a VE SS about 2 months back. Three sets of lights, and three sets of lights he was left scratching his head haha. In his defence, I am running 274rwkws. Speaking of GTS's and 307's, I also JUST had the opportunity to have a run with one on my private driveway on weekend. 274rwkws really does give you a huge advantage over the 6.0L LS2 engine (in stock trim anyway). Poor guy didn't even look at me when he went past later on haha I guess it's not really a fair fight, but seeing as you asked.... Oh yeah, by the way, Simon from Xtreme did my tune also. You wont go wrong with Simon's workmanship nor quality of tunes. A lot of guys here in Perth (and even some over east) will vouch for him.

It sure was a close battle... I thought Rossi could have possibly taken Stoner when he passed him for the first time a few laps from the end.... but DAMN.... that Ducati had some straight line speed!!!! It looked like Rossi wasn't even on the gas the way Stoner blasted by him down the main straight. HUGE credit to Rossi though..... give the guy anything with two wheels and sure will get the best out of it!
  17. Looking forward to it Allan!
  18. Another one is to get the receptionist to pass on the message to the victim that a "Mr Lyon" called for them while they were out.... only Mr Lyon's number is that of your local zoo muhahaha
  19. Spotted Steve (XXXR6T) and Chris (XRCHRIS) at Hillary's beach about 20 mins back... (5:25pm)
  20. that's exactly what it is for. It also is used to clean the small oil galleries with a pulsing action to attempt to dislodge any small dirt or grit that may be in there affecting cam phasing operation.
  21. Could also possibly be a faulty horn relay... Easy enough to check though... simply measure across the coil pins of the horn relay socket and see if they are measuring 12V on and off. (Assuming the horn goes on and off all the time this will work... if your intermitent horn problem occurs infrequently, this may not be a viable method of test) If you do measure 12V on and off, then it isn't your relay that is at fault.
  22. Luke, I think you have misunderstood me mate. I wasn't having a go at you or anyone else who wasn't coming / couldn't come. I turned up in the end anyway (as you know cos you saw me there hehe) as I spoke to my old man this morning and managed to delay the work he wanted me to help him with until this afternoon, and of course, I wanted to support the forum cruise concept. T'was a good day, and looking forward to seeing the pics Steve!
  23. I think I'm with you Allan. If everyone is bailing early, what fun is the cruise going to be? I don't mean to be a party pooper either, but my old man wanted me to help him with some work tomorrow, and I'd rather do that and make him happy instead of going on the cruise that none of the regulars are going to - not to mention the thunderstorms predicted for tomorrow. (No offence to the non - regulars) To those of you going, have a fun day, and drive safe!!
  24. Could also possibly be the fuel system. 1) Clogged fuel filter, or; 2) Partially stuffed fuel pump - ie. low output and unable to deliver enough fuel when under boost. or; 3) Faulty fuel pressure regulator 4) Faulty over-pressure relief valve in fuel pump
