    F6 Vs Xr6t

You know normally I'd agree with you.. and that what I first thought, but all the magazine testing has said otherwise! In fact when Wheels said they got the 0-100 time of 5.1s, they repeated it over and over and over again. I think the XR6T will still have an advantage however on slightly uneven/bumpy surfaces where traction may become more of an issue.
  5. PICS PLEASE!!!!!
  6. Hey Guys, I know this is an old thread... Just wondering for those of you who have had to buy a new light/wiper/indicator combination assembly, how much did it cost? My headlight switch has just failed, and I have to get new one next week... Only thing is its a long weekend here and nothing is open until Tuesday. Cheers, Ross
  7. OK I just tested this last night... at 60km/h, on the slowest intermittent speed, the wipers sweep every 6 seconds... when on the fastest intermittient speed, the wipers sweep every 3 seconds. Cheers.
  8. I'm 110% certain your BF has "road speed sensitive" wipers when used in the intermittent mode. To prove my point next time its raining go out and put your wipers on intermittent and set the rotating slider to the SLOWEST speed. With the vehicle STATIONARY count the number of seconds between wipes. (It's six seconds from memory - could be wrong though... ) Now drive up to 100km/h.... count the number of seconds between wipes.... you will see that it is a lot less than 6 seconds.
  9. This feature was intorduced with the BA. ALL BA Falcons onwards have road speed sensitive wipers when they are being used in the intermittent position.
  10. I'm not sure if this has been posted before... but I only came across this today... SO the video proves that the G6E Turbo actually pulls a 5.1s 0-100km/h, and a 13.3 0-400m! (Some previous reports said 13.4) SO I guess that traction with the current power and torque really isnt an issue without the LSD in a straight line at least... http://www.wheelsmag.com.au/wheels/a/9AFF1...2B001CC55D.html Cheers, Ross
  11. ** EDIT - I actually meant can you please test outhow it goes WITHOUT the LSD fitted regarding straight line accelleration and powering out of corners... Cheers mate.
  12. Hey EGOXRT excellent review!! Can you PLEASE test out how the G6ET goes with the LSD regarding traction and powering ut of corners? Cheers mate!
  13. F6 310kW GT 315kW http://www.drive.com.au/Editorial/ArticleD...=51369&vf=2
  14. OK, fair point - but the XR6T gets an average of 3.5... if you average out the scores it's 3.8?
  15. Has anyone else seen this?? What kind of crap scores are these?? Not to mention the overall score is not even correct when you take the average of the individual scores!!! http://editorial.carsales.com.au/car-review/2917087.aspx
  16. My only issue is that Drive gave the G6E Turbo the same times BASED on what the XR6T pulled. Now, normally this would be fine... only thing is that the G6E Turbo does not have an LSD?? I would have liked to have seen them test the G6E Turbo on it's own instead of just using the same figures for the XR6T...
  17. Well, it's not diffcult for Ford to load the same calibration for DSC and TC as the XR6T really is it? Same driveline, same wheel sizes, same everything.
  18. Thanks a lot for that mate! I will be waiting eagerly for a reply from you! Fingers (and everything else!) crossed that the G6E Turbo will come with LSD as an option!!!! Cheers, Ross
  19. I agree!!! Senna, is there any chance you could find out from Ford definitively whether there will be LSD offered on the G6ET? I would love to buy one, but if there is no LSD then that is a deal breaker for me!!! Cheers, Ross
  20. I saw it there last night too at around 10pm... And yeah.. this one is a bit late, but I saw DORKO on St. Georges Tce. about 5:15pm a few weeks back hehe
  21. Haha Mike - you just wanted to use that emoticon didn't you
  22. I'd go with option A most likely. Replace and bleed clutch fluid - cheapest and easiest to try solution. I bleed my clutch regularly - once every 3 months or so as the shift starts to slowly deteriorate.
  23. Same here. Perhaps you have a small leak somewhere in the inlet tract...
  24. I finally remembered to post this!! LOL Spotted 5inful (actually his missus I think?) taking Hutton St exit off the freeway last week.... Wednesday perhaps? Also Spotted Allan last week parked on St Georges Tce... around Midday? (Maybe Thursday? haha) Also spotted 5inful on wednesday (this week!) on havelock St.... I was turning left, he was stopped at a set of lights.... Cheers, Ross
  25. Tsk tsk tsk...
