  1. Nice power curve! Question: does the traction control actually work properly anymore after your tune? or is it unable to keep things under control?
  2. Try pressing and holding the interior light button for 5 seconds. This should change the interior light function back to normal.
  3. They are your thermal fans, and are known as "run-on fans" in Ford speak. They are designed to run to cool underbonnet temps to extend the service life of components under there.

  6. As I said fellas - take it or leave it... and in response to vfast, no it has nothing to do with taking sales from XR6T. I can understand your frustration at not knowing, but I assure you, it's for a good reason. Future models (when some APPROPRIATE changes are made) WILL get LSD. And by the way Dags, I wasn't trying to get "nothing"... just putting a little info out there for the rest of the Ford fans... I wish I could say more, but I can't.
  7. I have had bad experiences with Tim Slako tuning Unichip in the past..... whether he is any good now with what he uses? I don't know.... I am assuming he is tuning with edit now? I sure hope he's not using Unichip on your car!

Yes it is called oxidation, however unless Ford have changed the metallurgy of the inlet manifold and changed it from 100% aluminium to something else with iron it in, it cannot "rust" (as in have reddish brown marks on it). Rust is Fe2O3, Fe=Iron=red/brown dirt which where the red colour in rust comes from. Aluminium is not red/brown by any stretch. When aluminium oxidises is it loses its silvery shine and becomes tarnished/dull in colour... It does not "rust".
  9. I can tell you this - there is a reason that LSD is not offered on the G6ET. I can't say the exact reason, but I can say DEFINITIVELY that it is NOT about price or "cost cutting". I don't want anyone's BS asking why or why not, either take it or leave it - just telling you what I know.
  10. I see the problem... If you look closely at the photo and look at the rear wheels, you can see they are turned. He was obviously steering with the wrong set of wheels!
  11. Not too much I don't think. You would need the cables to hook it up, but if your your XR6T is a high series model (I.e. Lux pack, or Prem sound/Full colour screen then it's very possible that the cables are already in situ) You will also need the IR receiver that sits above the ICC screen... if you look closely you will probably see a blanking plate on yours instead of a dark red opaque one. This would be te major issue I think as I'm not sure if you need to swap over the entire ICC to get the IR receiver, or if it can be retrofitted to your current unit. If it was me, I would go the retrofit way, but you will need to find a smashed ICC to get it from soit doens't become a cost prohibitive exercise....

  18. Yes correct. From what I have heard though, the issue was actually with Garrett who manufacture the turbochargers themselves. Garrett rectified the issue before Ford started fitting them to FGs. ^^ Again, this is just what I have heard.

  23. I'm with Senna - the 300C looks like a typical yank piece of crap. Not a fan of the US styling at all. The G6ET (IMHO) craps all over the 300C in every single respect.

  25. Lol yes I totally agree.. but seeing as we are stating the obvious here, Ford are catering for the average person who actually cares somewhat about fuel economy, not to mention the most important reason, Ford actually have to warrant these things for 3 years /100000km!
