They always get the apprentices to do the "boring" work... they obviously feel they have to excite themselves somehow - unfortunately in this instance it was at the expense of two VERY mad (I'm sure) F6 owners... Castrol Edge is the replacement for Formula R. I run Castrol Edge 0W40 after I have been using Castrol Formula R 10W60 (for the last 30000kms) For everyday driving the Castrol Edge 0W40 is perfect - the 10W60 gives excessively high oil pressure for everday driving. (As noted by F6_Tornado) I would recommend using the 10W60 only if you taking your car to a track day where the oil is going to be punished and the temps are going to be sky high for long periods of time. I have the sat-nav option... What I do remember was that very early build cars had an issue... To my recollection there was definitely TSB regarding this... Ask you dealer if he/she knows... I am certain that it only affected very early build cars though... Cheers, Ross

Yeah but he's old and stuck in his ways.... He knows the Escort is quieter. No false alarms, and has better Multinova detection.. Laser, who knows, and really, if u are hit with laser you're stuck with the fine!!. ( some of us are ) I think the X50 is better than the RX65, but I really only bought mine coz it has blue lights!!!! ← I'll give you quieter no worries.... but as for detection range.... mmmmm Cheers, Ross

One more point from a functional point of view.... That grill would reduce the airflow into the radiator considerably.... Would be interesting to see the temp gauge in summer... then again it is an XT and as such the engine isnt that highly stressed... towing would be another story altogether.... Cheers, Ross

Hey Luke, I just bought some Yokohama Advan Sport V103 tyres in 245/40/ZR18. (Cheers to F6 Tornado for orgainsing these for me and putting me onto them ) These tyres STICK LIKE GLUE. Although they only have a few ks on them (read < 200) I have found them to be really grippy, and DAMN QUIETER than the SP9000s. I might point out that these are a relatively new tyre to the market too. 3-4 months maybe? Cheers, Ross

OK this makes no sense whatsoever. Did anyone else see him at Bathurst last year being interviewed? He was asked "Who do you go for.. Ford or Holden", and he said "Go the Holdens.. yeah...
