  1. I know this obviously isn't the latest piece of print... but it is an interesting read nonetheless http://www.arjeplogtestcenter.com/articles/ Cheers, Ross
  2. Certainly an interesting topic Ben, and it is something I have been wondering about myself for a long time. (The whole concept of "tuned" intake/exhaust and what are the exact tuning paramaters that they are so called "tuned" to. Eg Nizpro gear, APS gear, etc)
  3. You beat me to it! That was my question!! SOOO.. when do the go fast bits get fitted?? Cheers, Ross
  4. Saw DC VIN today on Roe St at around 4:20pm. Cheers, Ross

    Stolen!

Seems the ute was recovered yesterday.... http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=59945 Just my 2c here, but I agree with CountryPhoon. If you simply look at the numbers, DataDots have reduced theft. Cheers, Ross
  6. Sounds nice mate! Auto or manual? Cheers, Ross
  7. I'm in total agreeance. I believe that the massive (and sharp) torque hit the XR6T engine produces when modified, coupled with the weight of vehicle will prove to cause failure of the GTR rear end at lower levels than the stock components. Cheers, Ross
  8. This is wrong. The "F" slot is loaded only ONCE the very first time the flash tuner is connected to your car. Only other way to get around this is to have your flash tuner unlocked, (now only 4 lives left) and then it will once again download whatever is in the PCM to the "F" slot. Cheers, Ross
  9. Congrats on the new baby Simon! Cheers, Ross
  10. My real Dad knows how to put it into D and drive, that's his mechanical knowledge. So obviously your dad isn't Jetmir. ← Ha ha ha
  11. Cheers, Ross
  12. Sounds to me like a possible TPS fault? Cheers, Ross
  13. Sorry to hear Ben. Nevermind though.. you don't seem too cut up about it and you did shut the engine off as soon as you saw the low oil pressure so that is good. Look forward to seeing it back on the road soon Cheers. Ross
  14. Sorry mate... I actually haven't seen one in seduce yet!
  15. Hey Simon, Yes, I was over in Melb for 3 days last week. Got the chance to take one for a test drive... They really are a lovely piece of kit! Cheers, Ross
  16. It actually looks more like Acid Rush in that pic... Cheers, Ross
  17. Oil temp is on the CAN bus. You can get it off there if you have the right interface. Cheers, Ross
  18. It looks, sounds and goes just beautifully...The A6 with the factory stall seems to compliment the engine just perfectly. Cheers, Ross
  19. Saw Steve's (XXXR6T) car in the Wilson carpark in Northbridge last night parked 8 cars down from mine hehe. Looks schmick with the 18's Cheers, Ross
  20. Wow Steve, you seem to know a lot about this steering shudder + TSB! Where did you get all this fine knowledge from?? Cheers, Ross
  21. I woulda gone 3 X JL 10's but that's me.. ← I had 3 JL 12W6's with a "MTX Black Gold" 1000Wx1 RMS amplifier in my EB Falcon and that thing used to HAMMER. We also made a custom enclosure to fit in our boot.... Only problem was there was no access to the spare tyre as the enclosure consumed about 85% of the boot space! I wont be doing that again!! haha Due to the subs, every last piece of the rear end of my car creaked! It even kept causing my rear shockie top nuts to keep coming loose.. and they were nylock nuts!! (I couldnt use a lock nut as there was not enough thread on top of the shockie piston.. they were Koni sports shocks) Cheers, Ross
  22. Good to hear Luke helped you out! I'm sure you will be enjoying your new clutch very shortly Cheers, Ross
  23. I also have heard the same thing. Apparently if you are in USA all good as the maps are complete- but I heard that the Aussie maps are TERRIBLE in the sense that a LOT of the roads are missing. Cheers, Ross
  24. Who cares. All I need it to do is hold the amount of power that I am aiming for and this will do the job. ← yer definatley do the job, youngys has 410 rwkw's and it hold fine so that's not an issue, I wasnt giving you a hard time either mate, aron was talking to me about clutches on monday or tuesday and I told him I use the xtreme ones and just said that they can shudder on hills ect. if that doesnt bother you you your set ← Yes that's right - mine is the same.. holds GREAT.. but can be a bit of a pig to take off on when starting uphill. It's not a huge problem.. its just something that is part and parcel of using a non-organic clutch plate. A bit of practice and it can be worked around Cheers, Ross
  25. Exact same clutch setup as mine. You certainly wont have a slipping clutch after this - they are a solid unit. Cheers, Ross
