  1. That's a pretty good roster!! Up here it's 28 days on, 9 off - site standard. We should catch up for a bite and a drink when you're up here next. Where do they put you up when you are here?
  2. Up @ Woodside's Pluto LNG plant. Haha and yeah I survived... The food from Roadrunners really is a "sometimes" food!!
  3. Seeing as it's the two year anniversary of your comment to me Mike, I see it fitting that I reply with "Rusty Trombone" to celebrate the occassion. HOWEVER, I STRONGLY suggest that anyone who reads this comment of mine, looks up "Rusty Banjo" on urbandictionary(dot)com for a good chuckle. I've got to give Mike the credit for this one. ;-)

  4. Damn! We are right around the corner then! I was at Roadrunner's Cafe about 15 minutes ago getting some brekky
  5. Up in Karratha Luke! Can you PM me the details too?
  6. Definite maybe too! Mike - not back in Perth yet!!!
  7. Yep - It's Ross! Still cruising around in the G6ET - I love it! I haven't been on a cruise in YEARS! About time I headed out for another one! Try get Ninka along... Newl... be good to see you too! What ever happened to Nick with the XR8?? I might try get Steve along too - he might like to ride with one of us if he doesn't want to bring the Fairmont Ghia down...
  8. I vote the 20th too - it's the only date I can make! I should also point out that any date between Feb 20 and March 06 would also work for me! Luke - It's been a while mate! Wouldn't mind catching up to say Hi! What is Allan (ninka) up to these days??
  9. The factory sat-nav DOES play through the vehicle speakers. It may have been difficult for whoever was doing your retrospective install to do it as per original factory spec.
  10. A slight thread-mine here.... But... I have just come back from overseas and after having my G6ET sitting there for 9 weeks, it fired up perfectly first time. You could tell it wasn't a 100% clean start, but it was 95% clean start. My G6ET is a Feb 09 build.
  11. Zap, How did you get Ford to replace the turbo oil feed filter under warranty? Unless one can prove it is "faulty" I wouldn't think Ford would replace it?
  12. Unfortunately, its not just a simple straight coil return spring. Its a spring that is wrapped around the shaft of the pedal pivot with "arms" that push against the pedal itself, as well as the the pedal box.
  13. In reality, both wheels may well break traction, but there will always be one wheel spinning more than the other - because of this, the TC system will still operate as per what I have written in my earlier post. Assuming that they were spinning at same time, (eg LSD-equipped car, and LSD fully locked) the engine power will be reduced via throttle / spark cut in order to stop the wheels spinning.
  14. Actually, its not that bad - the clutch pedal assembly comes out separately. There is no need to remove the dash.
  15. You're not going to like the answer, but you cannot buy the clutch pedal return spring as a spare... you have to purchase the complete new pedal box - crazy I know!!
  16. It's worth noting that the TC for the non-LSD equipped cars has a different mode of operation to the LSD equipped cars. 1) In the non-LSD equipped cars, the TC actually brakes the spinning wheel, in turn directing torque to the wheel that isn't spinning (as well as cutting spark etc) 2) In the LSD equipped cars, the TC brakes BOTH wheels concurrently so as not to direct the force to any one wheel more other wise it will damage the LSD. The result is that when you fit an LSD to the G6ET, the TC system is going to attempt to brake the wheel that spins first - trying to direct torque to the opposite wheel; but it will actually be "fighting" the LSD as it is trying to lock the wheels together. It's fine to put an LSD centre in, but if you are planning on giving it a bit, I would turn the TC off, else you will shag your LSD in no time. Cheers, Ross
  17. I have a G6ET also, and I too fall into this age bracket
  18. I have a Feb 09 build G6ET and I my iPod tunes play in the exect order I have them in my playlist. The iPod update should fix your problem.
  19. Nice threadmine!
  20. Check the head temperature sensor on the rear of the head. It is also used to shutdown the vehicle in an overtemp situation I'm quite sure.
  21. Hey Smiddy - Unfortunately still no locking flap. Mine is a Feb 09 build.
  22. Congrats mate! All the very best!
  23. Took delivery of my FG on Wednesday. I have no whine whatsoever. I'm using an iPOD classic 160GB if that helps.
  24. Hey guys, I have a FG Falc with the 6 speed ZF auto. I need to remove the gearshift surround. Now the FG shifter is the same as the BF I'm 99% sure. Can someone explain how to remove the shifter so that I can get the gear shift surround off please? Thanks. Cheers, Ross
  25. Hehe nah that wasn't me... but I do have my black XR6 Turbo still!
