  1. I was leaning toward a coil tbh listening to the car run even at low rpm I can her a odd miss it has the R type plugs .. anyway of diagnosing a faulty lead / coil for a home punter ? or this is something I need to take to a shop when I think about it it has always had a slight issue where you cruise along at say 1300 rpm and the RPM would plus or minus by 200 or so rpm and give the car pitch change in the motor even though you are on flat ground and not working hard and now to hear the miss fire in lower range RPM I will look at changing out the item as soon as I figure out which one it is lol. will let you know how I go.. As to the ECU I checked it all definitely good grounding contact to it Unplugged and replugged all cables used a electronic component contact cleaner on the connectors still no change I think Thx Mr40 and everyone else that has put forth ideas I will find the cause of the miss and hopefully solve the main problem along the way will keep you up to date

Side note took it out tonight have noticed un even idle after the event to the point it can cut the motor out if you accelerate hard then back off to a full stop. the problem does not occur with revving in neutral or park out to over 6k rpm only happens under load in hard acceleration thanks for all the ideas guys.
  3. Here is a list of the Codes found by HPF on the day P0701 Transmission ... Fixed cleared never come back found some oil in the CAN buss connector on the transmission P1386 VCT B2 Over Advanced (Timing chain gears and guides now all replaced) P1900 Can comm bus fault U2514 VSS this is the result of the speedo reading zero while the car is moving They spent over a full day trying to find anything in the CAN bus that would cause the error including pulling various parts of the loom while it was running under load lol they burnt through half a tank of petrol I think its going to come down to the P1900 error but even ford handed the car back as it didn't play up once while they had it lol yet every other day it will do it all day long I don't think they actually drove it under full boost. They just said no charge replace the timing chain it will be 800 labour plus parts lol .. ended up having chain guides and all done for $640.00 just reading around on google someone else had a misfire at 4000 - 4500 and a can bus error ended up actually being the Turbo Actuator had a broken diaphragm any thoughts on this ?
  4. stock rims and tyres trying to stay sleeper lol anyone know of another tuning shop in melbounre eatern suburbs maybe a second opinion on the tune might shed some light dunno running out of ideas...
  5. ABS, Traction Control and ((!)) light its as if the dashboard reboots if I have Traction control disabled after the error it is back on. And yes it does it in Sports Manual Mode.
  6. not sure on SCT or HP I assume it was SCT as if I had paid a extra $500 I would have received the Xcal computer flash module and a copy of my tune on it as well as standard before they did the work, HPF did the tune I didn't have spare cash at the time to buy it as well spent about $3500 un expectantly in one week on my car kinda stressed the pocket book lol .
  7. haven't been able to drive it with a stock tune as the ecu errors out with overboost due to the big dump pipe. Not temp based will do it all day long anytime its under heavy acceleration and it will do it all through the rev range the engine actually sounds like it misfires when this happens. Batteries I was running Duel Optima Yellow tops with 1550 total cca even gone back to a heavyduty brand new battery and taken the fuse out of the boot mounted battery to try and eliminate this .. The earth strap between chassis and motor has been checked and tested was a little loose but didn't improve things. TBH I don't think I have gotten it to do it just revving not under load something I can try later tonight when I go out away from houses lol.

I have a BFxr6 Turbo with a HPF Custom Tune at 298.6 kw at the Wheels, Since getting this done I have had a recurring error on the Dashboard with three or more error lights and the speedo will error out and drop to zero. This only happens under hard acceleration under boost. It has a custom exhaust and dump pipe from Performance exhausts with seimens 60lb injectors opened up airflow and a high volume fuel pump. Ford blamed this on a timing chain issue which I have had the chain and guides replaced the guide was broken no improvement. ECU has been replaced and reflashed HPF had it for 2 days on a dyno and couldn't find the cause of the fault though they believe it could be in the CAN bus (may as well say yea theres a fault in the car ) they spent the day pulling on various parts of the loom to no avail. A auto elec had it for a full day and said take it to ford lol .. Ford suggested I goto HPF...... PLEASE HELP !!! lol please see attatched Video of fault happening I had a friend said he had a similar problem with his 370kw tune and it was to do with the tune and possible to fix it via altering the tune.. please check out the clip and any advice would be appreciated thanks
