  1. I've liked em ever since I first saw them - needs to be the right colour though (dark colours dont look that good on fg/fgx imo) I would have no problems buying one at 85k kms, becasue it would be my 2nd car & do less than 4000 kms a year - especialy with factory warranty left. $29k is my guestimate for a auction sale price
  2. well, I just watched the dealer drive my territory away, kinda sad about it but meh - now to find a FG MKII xr6t :-)
  3. its not always about the $$, im having thoughts about the hassel of having 3 cars again..
  4. exactly, that & the abs/trc lights really put me off - I dont have time for that sh*t. the rust, scratches & tricky clutch I could live with, but he's firm on 11k for now so I'll keep looking. the other thing I'm reconsidering is that this toy was to be a 3rd car - but now I'm thinking about letting my Ford terri go & then buying a fg xr6t instead. I've only got a 2 car garage, so having the toy permanently outside will be too much of a pain in the arse in this heat. that silver one is just too nice to leave outside & its not safe enough to replace the terri totally, so I rekon a fgxr6t is the best option. anyone want a one owner 2010 7 seater terri with only 58,oookms? might even consider trading it in cheers
  5. that's it, he only put that advert up after I looked at it. it looks great in the pics, you really need to see it in person
  6. ^it also had the abs & trc lights on permanently, steering wheel was shagged too. might go look at this one tomorrow - a lot more coin spent but he tells me its got an exhaust leak at the punched out cat and the side skirts need painting. probably more wrong with it too.. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/iluka/cars-vans-utes/500-rwhp-xr6t/1094565742?ref=ais
  7. well I went and drove this car today - first time ive ever been in a xr6. power is definitely there - especially down low/mid range. straight body, but there's very bad scratches, rust on the boot around the spolier holes (no spoiler) - the icc is dead so no aircon/heater etc - which is my biggest concern really. its got a new twin plate ceramic clutch, which has a high take up point - not easy to get off the line he's pretty firm at 11k so I have to think about it. cheers
  8. maybe its my fault for emailing - they see my address & bump the price. I just thought it would waste less of their time helping me with my question on the car they tuned.
  9. welcome to Perth! seriously, I love this city though :-)
  10. just had a reply from them, no comments at all on the car, just a price of $250 for a power run! wow.
  11. I'm still in Newman so I sent them an email with the dyno attached & asked them if they remember the car (was only a couple of weeks ago), also asked them what a power run costs just in case cheers
  12. since the dyno seems to have only been done a couple of weeks ago, I might just go with 'gut feel' on this one - probably be a pita trying to organise a time for both of us to be there & for MS to have a window asap. If the car seems good & the guy takes my offer, I will pick it up in the next few days. cheers
  13. yeah, I did think about that, but would they really want to chat to a random, at least it was tuned there recently so they might be able to tell me something bout it. I know the motor was rebuilt somewhere else about a year ago (hi tech cylinder heads I believe) & they just did the tune. cheers
  14. any comments on this? looks good to me
