Hello my names john and im a newbie to this forum. I have an issue that someone in here might have answers for. I recently bought a complete set of slotted rotors, calipers (Brembo 4 piston fronts and PBR single piston backs), brake lines and mounting brackets off a bf gt to install on my bf xr6t ute thinking it would be a simple install. after I cleaned up and re-sprayed the calipers because of plenty of scratches on the faces I installed them. (pictures included below) I had no problems installing the rotors and calipers apart from the rears which gave me a bit of trouble taking off the old rotors and the brake lines off the gt were too short so I ended up just using my rear brake lines already on the ute. I then started the bleeding process with another person one person pumps the pedal 4 times then holds while the other cracks open the bleeding point then closing and repeating till all the air bubbles are out. we started bleeding from the passenger rear, drivers rear, passenger then drivers side. all while making sure the brake fluid level is kept topped up. Even after all this process the brake pedal is still a bit soft and pushes down right to the floor. Im wondering if I have missed any step or had to install another step for these brakes to work on the xr? I have been getting mixed answers from people I have asked as some tell me I need to replace the master cylinder (I thought all the master cylinders on BF models were similar) and others tell me theres a certain way to bleed abs brakes. Thanks in advance for all your help and guidance.
