No way in the world. These figures I think smell of Orion, not BFmkII. In the fair dinkum stakes, I dont Ford are all that far behind in the performance. Sure the GT/GT-P do have there arses handed to them, but I think that can be changed with gearing, and either a small power increase or weight reduction. Apart from Holden's performance claims, no tests have been published, and I think you'll find the Ford's will compete well. Reading the sometime entertaining crap published on ls1.com.au, some guys coming out of there VY/VZ SS's,Cubsports and Monaro's think the VE is significantly slower, some have written they think its faster. Who knows. But with a heavier car with less than portionate power increase, I cannot see a manual being faster, it has to be slower. Havnig said that, I think the new 6spd auto box will make a significant difference to the Commodore.
