Thanks mate, the PTE & GTX seem to be the ones that ppl have recommended, but ill be looking at clutch, driveshafts & coilovers before I up the power.

I suppose it all depends on the tune/tuner, as to what power it can make. Thanks for the info barnz

Hey Bellato, was just asking for what ppl thought would be suitable. Havent cemented a budget, will do research and shop for a deal. Does more expensive mean better? or are there cost efficient turbos that would do the same job for less?

I suppose there will be a lot of different opinions on what brand/setup is best, but I'm just after advice. I'll take it all in before going through the process of buying. I'm thankful for everyones advice.

Yeah my brother has bilsteins on his liberty & he likes them. What is the ride like, as opposed to stock? Body still roll into corners?

Thanks camo86t, I am looking for an even spread of power, nothing that lags. But as everyone has told me, its the tune, not the turbo that makes it linear. Other ppl have suggested the precision 62 range of turbos, guess ill be doing a lot of reading before I choose. Thanks again for the advice

hmm thanks for that. More food for thought. What kind of price range is the shockworks kit? Pedders XA=1700, Tein=2300. Did not want to spend too much, as I don't go to track, just want to get rid of the roll-and-squat out of corners. I wonder why my mechanic suggested against installing the quick shift kit?

Buttplug, would this turbo support the required power easily or is it at the limit of the turbo to make the power? I want to buy the parts I need first, then get it all installed. I've been told I need to upgrade clutch & driveshafts before I look to make 500hp atw...or I wont be making it for long

I was hoping that the stock clutch will be good enough for the power level im at now? Would you recommend the option 3 plus clutch kit from Mal Wood?

Thanks for the advice masda74, am still looking at different suspension sets. I have ppl who swear by tein super street advance, but they go to the track, I don't. I've had ppl say that the pedders xa coilovers are a good budget setup if street performance is all I want. I do have a manual, do you recommend doing driveline upgrade prior to doing power upgrade? I bought an Aeroflow fg 6sp short shifter, but my mechanic did not recommend installing it. I don't know if its because he knows I drive like a tool, or if its performance is not worthwhile. Thanks again for turbo advice, is the GTX3582r or Precision 6235 linear power turbos? Want smooooth power if that's possible

Am looking to up the power of my xr6t from 311kw atw to 373kw atw(500hp) What turbocharger would ppl recommend to achieve this? I want it to be linear power, I've been in peaky power cars & that's not what I want. I want It to pull from down low, quick spool. Any help would be awesome

Nice ute, quick question about the front end. What parts did you have to buy, eg front bar, headlights, bonnet?? I have 2011 xr6t, would love to do front swap. What flash tune did you use for engine?

Damn straight. I hate that its so exposed without the splash tray. First time I heard it scrape, I thought I'd ripped the cooler off! But was just a little scratch on the bolts. Flow for the intercooler might be ok, but everything else about it has been a pain in the a@#e!!

Got some more photos Here's the day I got my new intercooler & new headlights/taillights Was so proud when I got front bar & stock cooler off, then panicked a bit when I saw all the parts layed out. Got the HDi cooler installed but had no luck with the pipes And heres the dyno sheet after I took it to ESP more pics to come

Hi there just joined the forum & thought I would post some details. (Photos to come later sorry) After having serious near fatal lung surgery last year, I decided that before I go, I want to own something fast! So I scoured carsales whilst in hospital & found this peach. 2011 FG XR6T 6-speed manual in silhouette...with only 40,000km on it! And it came with sweet 19" OZ racing rims, 6 & 4 piston brembos & luxury pack black leather. All that for $27K, it was THE best drive back from wagga wagga to canberra. Drove it stock for 1000km then couldn't help myself Mistakenly bought a HDi GT pro2 intercooler off ebay with "all the correct piping". Got the front bar off, went to work with the grinder & got the intercooler fitted. As I lay out the pipes I realise something is wrong. The pipes don't line up. Called Grant at ESP in Qbn & after reinstalling stock cooler, took it to them to get more work done. Earls turbo oil line HDi intercooler Hi flow stock airbox 1000cc injectors SCT X4 Flash 4" Dump pipe Turbo back 3.5" system with mufflers & resonators Told them I wanted a mild tune so could get used to the power & the boys didn't disappoint me...311.1wkw!!! Bit faster than my 1.6l getz After that I found some LED headlights & taillights from MARS performance & after installing them found 1 of the taillights wasn't working. A quick call to them & they sent me out a new 1, works a treat. Am hoping to get more photos up soon Thanks P.s I'm looking for an upgrade to the stock suspension, not going to race track with it(yet) so street performance is priority. What would ppl recommend between: 1. Pedders XA Coilovers & Whiteline swaybars F+R or 2. Tein Super Street Advance coilovers Same price for option 1 or 2 Any help would be great
