hi all, I wanted to put the centre gauges in my turbo but you can not buy genuine one from FPV unless you have a gt, f6 etc and they want the vin numbers so does anyone know of aftermarket ones . Also the start switch as well john

I am adding a pioneer 12" sub and for the moment I will use the factory amp and make an adaptor plate to fire the sub through the existing factory mounting position . The 12 will move a lot more air than the 8 or 10 that is there now so will be louder hopefully enough if not there are some 15's in the shed.

I say no to stripes l always preferred plain colours I will even resist stripes when I rebuilt my conpact fairlane..

Averaged out about 10 l per 100 over trip 2 adults 2 tenagers and luggage I am happy with it. Gladstone is my home town and went to visit my sister If only there were some unlimited speed roads in QLD like in the NT

I know this is a bit off the subject of this thread but Ian where did you fit the centre front speaker for your 5.1 sound n how does it image for music great for dvd's I would imagine. John

Hi all , We took the BF/T for the first hiway run on Thursday night about 500 kms to Gladstone from Brisbane .I was very impressed how well these cars run on the hiway hard part is keeping to speed limit she runs better at 130 km / 2000 rpm ( 6 speed auto) than at 100ks and when you overtake you are doing 160 before you realize it . Only got 1 speeding ticket at 114 ks which is good because I was coming down from 140 after passing a heap of cars on overtaking lane and I just got all my points back after a years good behaviour on 1 point. Also the fuel ecomony for a car that produces 245 kw is simply wonderful must be that 6 speed auto . I love this car glad we bought it cause we will do a lot more trips away now.

Just tell me what sub you are going to use and I will do the calculations for u. you can then work out the shape all you have to do is keep the volume the same . also state whether you want sound quality or just plain decibels as it requires different type of box. john

I bought my T because it was sitting in the dealer yard , bionic blue with 18" alloys premium sound darkest legal tint and we fell in love . Was only looking to spend 30k on second hand one but 50k latter got our brand new T and loving it.

That looks good . I am going to upgrade the subs in my T soon but I tend to prefer infinate baffle loading , firing the sub through the fold down seats and using the boot as your box. this type of loading with a good speaker will give much better sound quality so long as the volume of the boot is more than 4 times the VAS of the driver and there is a reasonably good seal between the boot and cabin. In my home theatre I have 4 15" drivers mounted in the roof firing through air con grills into room, sounds awesome.

Good luck guys , unfortunately to far to drive from brisbane but let us know the results. I don't particually like commodores ( that's more looks than how well they go) unless its a turbo VL but I love my T. Hopefully I will get to the next meet closer to home.

We have now run 2 tankfulls of E10 and I think it is only 95 octane and thew fuel economy has defiantly got better havn't actually taken figures as wife drives most of time but refilling has become less frequent with same amount of driving

95 octane which is what is recomended for the BF

Hi All , I always run premium fuel in our BF turbo but due to the spiralling cost of it and my wife does about 7-800 k's a week city driving I was going to try the E-10 ethonol blend. All the tests I have read on this fuel say it is pretty damn good.I was after some thoughts from you learned folk here , at the moment the car is standard but will be upgraded to 300 kw or so in the next month. Your thoughts on the subjsct would be great.
