I spoke to a mate who is in the NSW Police Highway Patrol and he told me that the Ford Xr6 and XR8 are having a lot of issues with electrics and gear box mounts. I know that these guys have to drive these cars hard, but I also know that they swap them after 60 thou K. Has anyone had issues with thier XR6'S? Are these common problems?

Guys, I know that this may have been done to death, but I am new to this forum and dont know how to drive it yet. I have a number of questions that some of you may be able to help me with. I currently drive a vx ss which has been edited and a few other things. It goes quite well, but the other day I drove a mates XR6T ute and I am wrapped in its performace. I was thinking of changing my car and getting one of these in a sedan. I dont know what to get either a manual or auto. I want to get one of the capa flash units. 1)How much will these flash units increase power? 2) Will the power increase damage the gearbox if its either a manual or auto? 3) Also what type of fuel econ can I expect?
