  1. Ya gotta get that snort down though! Everytime I try to snort that loudly I end up coughing my ring out
  2. https://www.tesla.com/en_AU/models Maybe it's not such a bad thing though?
  3. The kids love their suits hey?! My daughter has her cookie monster and tigger suits and they boys have their spiderman and george pig suits.
  4. What about these? http://gcg.com.au/petrol-performance/performance-3/studs-and-nuts/search?custom_parent_id=1&limitstart=0&custom_filters_-_studs_%26_nuts-_stud_thread=M10x1.5
  5. If you are going to mod it anyway then it makes sense to buy a modded car, providing it is in good nick. Would the owner be willing to take it to a mechanic get it checked out? You will be able to get a much better idea of general condition of the vehicle and also make certain that every nut and bolt hasn't stripped or rounded in some fashion by a backyard mechanic. I've had the misfortune to own a few cars and bikes like that. If it hasn't been thrashed and has been maintained then it won't matter that it has been turned up a bit. It's seems to be a common misconception that because a car makes huge power it will wear out in a linear fashion. General day to day driving is done sedately in the majority of cases and as such more power won't necessarily be detrimental to longevity to a significant degree. Remember to take into account the cost of potential repairs when making an offer. If you have to replace every single bush and suspension then you won't get much change, if any, from a few grand at most workshops. I did notice redbook suggests a slightly lower figure which is why I mentioned using it when negotiating. It can be a bitter pill to swallow when selling a modded car due to depreciation. A negotiation doesn't have to happen in one day. It can take place over a week so an owner can come to terms with this and is willing to sell at a price you are both happy with. You can check for disassembly marks around the dash or console area to determine if it has been apart at some stage. I try to be thorough when making large financial decisions hence the long post. If it's all legit then it seems like a good buy providing you are happy with the price.
  6. Have a look at these MBAF. They're a bit pricey and overkill for a fairly stock car but I'm sure they would hold some serious boost!
  7. Give it a few months and you'll feel normal again. Give it a few years and it'll be a distant memory. Just hang in there no matter how crazy or pissed off you feel. It will pass. It's not easy but you can do it if you can deal with the few months of crazy.
  8. We had our babies available as soon as they had been checked over. My wife could hold them even while she was being sewn back up. Unless there are complications I can't see any reason they won't let you have your baby straight away. They usually give a Oxytocin shot to help with bonding and milk production.
  9. I can see why you're pissed about it though especially when they told you the reason was because of your weight!
  10. I think the midwife is pulling ya leg. You clearly aren't too heavy for one hospital or the other. If you aren't high risk then they will send you to the one they are sending you to. You mustn't be high risk at this time. Like Ralph said it's about risk assessment. My wife was swapped the opposite way this time cos she is high risk. We had our son in the city and our daughter in the northern one and despite the screaming bogans in the general area of the hospital the maternity ward was nice.
  11. Fair enough then. Obviously you can produce cash to flash for this car which while practically irrelevant, plays to emotion, which is in your favour when it comes to negotiating. Here is just one of many websites on how to haggle. I picked it fairly indiscriminately. Mods on a car, especially a rare car, can be a double edged sword. They may actually lower a cars value due to previously mentioned reasons and can include accelerated wear and tear, legality/roadworthyness issues and the ability to insure the vehicle. Ask @k31th if it's a good idea to buy a modified car. Also check redbook. Of course this is an arbitrary comment but I'd start at 14k for haggling sake and see where I can go from there. I wouldn't go past 20k. I hope this helps despite it being just my opinion.
  12. Quitting huh amigo? I quit smoking about 6 years ago compadre. Pretty sure I swore once or twice about it too esse. Be a *beep* if you feel like it. It's not easy and it'll help you through it. Put your "ponerse como una fiera" into improving yourself so it's a win win. Good job hombre.
  13. Imho it's not stock so the "collectable for financial reasons" aren't there and for that price a a bought stock then built xr6t would be much faster. There was a built 550rwkw xr6t going recently for $25k or so.
  14. Gettin there gettin there.
  15. Loose turbo nutzz? I've had to tighten mine several times. Just my preference but I would drive around the issue until I could sort out the parts. I'd fit them myself and then get it tuned, thereby making the most of my tuning money so the hp per dollar ratio stays good.
  16. Have a read of jets tuning thread. It'll take an afternoon to get through but you'll find most of your answers or links to them in there. Of course there is plenty more information on offer in the rest of the site.
  17. Hello mate and welcome. Issue 1 imho is probably in the tune. When the intake air gets too hot the tune can be setup to command a lower boost level and also pull timing and add fuel. Issue 2 sounds tune related too but could be other factors involved ie: fuel quality, oil from blow by etc. Sounds like you know well enough not to let it knock until you get it sorted. Issue 3 has been covered by skidxr6t. I'd also recommend cleaning any oil that will be in the pipe. Symptoms of coil pack failure is the same as having a plug gap too large eg: missing when the boost is wound up or the tune is richened up. I don't think this is a problem for you. Here is the thread about adding pictures. I've only owned my car for just over 18 months but I can tell you that you are in the right place to find information if you don't mind spending the time searching.
  18. I've run north of 30 psi on just clamps and beads. There is obviously an issue with assembly or components.
  19. Maybe I'm repeating the obvious here but it should be aligned loosely before tightening or it will be more likely to pop off. Clean and dry fittings (not like my oily picture) with quality clamps over rolled or welded beads should ensure they remain attached.
