The in-laws were down for a couple of weeks recently and the father in law loved it. Even my 3 and 4 y/o boys get to have a go with the go karts. I just chuck the pedals on their little chairs so they can reach it from my big chair. It's pretty good cranking up the sound and having the floor vibrate from the sub! Nothing like a bunch of revs then dropping the clutch on a f1 car and pulling a skid to the first left turn on Nordschleife.

If it's street driven then area under the curve matters. A car with a stock turbo will be quicker 90% of the time when sticking to the speed limit. Do you really want to wait until 4k rpm to go fast for a couple of seconds with black lines and smoke whilst trying not to get a speeding ticket? That's not a very nice street car. I don't think there is any "need" to have a street car with much more than 400rwkw but if it is being used for drag regularly then losing street manners could be acceptable.

The police will pull over a flagged vehicle whether or not they care. I disagree @-Stever- l think some people would report a car performing said acts especially over an extended period. Plenty of nosy karnts out there. Op, you'll be right anyway. Insurance will pay for damage to the wheels, tyres and whatever else. A quick flogging while cold won't hurt a motor much at all. It might just bed your rings in a bit better. The same sh*t was happening when I lived there 5 years ago. People leave their keys on the bench and karnts would sneak in and take them. Obviously the car was reported stolen at 12 to 12:30pm today just before op posted. If the car drives past one police car it gets flagged. Nine hours later after being "smashed around and doing burnouts" "around almost the whole of perth" and obviously being reported dozens of times by witnesses observing said acts, it still hasn't been picked up by police with said offenders? What am I missing?

Yep. No doubt there are false knock readings that can be tuned out with the knock maps using knock ears. You'd have to be mad to let the car be able to pull any less than 6 degrees with 98 octane imo.

It wouldn't help anything. No offset means that as soon as you turn on the headlights your car leans out slightly. Imagine what would happen if you had a fully sick stereo uley.

Except when the tune has been set up to only pull a max of one degree of timing.
