  1. I've driven it all of 40km so far as I'm due for a wheel alignment tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I can feel the gap and then it's quite firm. You can feel it in a hard shift. With normal driving it's not noticeable. I've only booted it a couple of times and it's quite stable. Here's a pic of the other two I replaced.
  2. I paid $11600 for my 07 Bfmk2 nearly 2 years ago from a dealer. It had a full service history, 138xxxkm and had a full engine rebuild at 99000km due to bring driven with a faulty head gasket. It came with reciepts that exceeded the price I paid for it. That's coming up as sold.
  3. Nope. I Googled it just now. Haha I can still see my feet and definitely can still see my old fella!
  4. Mine had been idling at about 30 this winter and running around 60. Recently I've seen it running about 70. It is the gforce xtreme edition so it has decent cooling. I'd still prefer a custom loop by all accounts.
  5. I learnt to play "Wayside" on guitar a while back. There is some good stuff out there but you gotta go looking for it.
  6. All good mate. You should be able to make the most of your setup now that it runs so cool. After a 38 outside temp and a 28 inside temp today, I found my air cooled card sitting at 48 idle.
  7. I have used afterburner for the last 4 years. It works well, although some games are intolerant to having background apps running such as oc apps or framerate apps.
  8. That's some good results mate. Just remember that furmark flogs the crap out of your hardware. Heaven or Time Spy will give you results that are more likely to take place in the real world.
  9. Hi mate I've had a bit of a read of your thread. I've got a couple of cents spare tonight and I'm happy to share fwiw. I wouldn't buy anything less than a 2007 bfmk2. Better for middle ground modding without breaking. I prefer the look of the bf but I like the engine layout of the fg better. I looked for roughly 6 months in sa for my car (stock 07 bf mk2) due to a lack of available non modded cars. This was nearly 2 years ago and prices have fallen slightly. Like any car just make sure it has a service history and it's not molested inside, under or out. Imo don't buy a slightly broken one or something that needs the last 5 years of neglected maintenance done when you buy it. It's not worth it. Cars come up for sale fairly regularly and once you have done your research and decided what you need, you will find your car. Imho bide your time and find your perfect car. I don't think you are there yet. Good luck and stay patient.
  10. I'm down for a cruise or at least a meet up/bbq sometime. Fairly busy with kids but happy to plan a day off. Sorry wa boys for the hijack. I'd come for a drive no worries if I wasn't 2900km away. P.s. Cockburn and Cockram. Dafaq?

Reminds of when it was just before my teens when my biggest problem was trying not waking up my dad in the morning with my rm80.

I'm on the outside looking in.
  13. I just finished a home made toe alignment. I had swapped the tie rods the other day but cbf checking after I was finished. It had a total toe out of 7mm before adjusting and now it has a total of 1mm in. The steering wheel looks straight and each side is the same distance out from the chassis. It should be good enough to drive to the shop on Tuesday for tyres and a proper alignment/check of deadly home alignment.
  14. Yeah mate. It sucks because it is hardly sore but there is a definite pull or compression with how I sit and it feels ready to give me dramas if I push it. I think I'll get out an old bench that I have and do some iso movements that don't involve vertical pressure on my spine so I can keep some sort of conditioning. Even using leg drive with the bench has proven painful.

Did someone say rock band? Count me in!
  16. So after about 4 weeks away from the gym I saw the doctor about my back again. He thinks it is a slight disc issue and recommended that I don't squat or deadlift or otherwise load my back up for at least another 2 weeks. That involves every single exercise I do... It is fairly sore from fitting my diff bushes yesterday so I guess I'll just have to do stuff all for a while. So that'll be no lifting for 6 weeks all up plus I would have gone back two weeks from my previous program. I guess I'll slow down my squat and deadlift progression from here out. Ahhhh the joys of getting old.
  17. Hey mate if it's working for you and you are achieving your goals then you are golden. I think a diet plan is only needed in most cases if one is struggling with gaining or losing weight.
  18. IF hey? I usually only start eating about midday. Just a coffee and shake for breakfast. If I had a proper breakfast I'd be fat as hell.
  19. Just like a hooker aye? Just kidding
  20. Haha @k31th bro you want about 50p and 100c after a workout. That pizza will be 35% fat man. Still taste good though!
  21. I've had a kelpie/ridgeback mix come on my property last year and try to have a go at me after it tried to attack one of my pets. The owner just kept walking and didn't even look my way even though I was roaring at the dog, let alone make any attempt to retrieve her dog from my front yard. It stood it's ground and had a growl at me and try to bail me up but I flew at it fully intending to boot it across the street and it bolted. As I have young kids playing out the front with me from time to time I asked the local council dog dude what could be done. According to him it actually has to bite on two occasions before it gets destroyed. Sounds like bollocks to me. I said I'd do it the next time it came back. He actually went down the road to address the issue and when he came back he reckoned the owner had more bourbon than coke in her cup and that he fixed her fence so it couldn't get out. No apology from the owner even though she lives four doors down. Sounds like someone owes you a vet fee and a carton at least @OZYWALKER
  22. Thankfully in Australia our laws allow the opportunity to at least flog the dog to death if needed and the owner can cop a hefty beating if the circumstance calls for it. In the right context "lip" is a legal reason to give someone a reasonable beating and delivering them forthright to the coppers. Just need to find a handy piece of driftwood cos fark wrestling an angry dog to death with your bare hands.
