  1. Yeah my back's better enough to get back into lifting so beer drinking can have a rest for a while. I've got a 20kg bag of whey powder and a shed full of weights that are calling to me. Edit: Plus I'm getting too fat.
  2. Sup errrybody! Green tea for breakfast mmm yum...not.
  3. I guess the worst that could happen is that the car has been run with an undetermined amount of water in the engine and transmission. Water is not a good lubricant for bottom end bearings or any moving part. The clutchpacks will get destroyed pretty quickly with water in the transmission. $10k might be parts value but you're not buying confirmed serviceable parts on a pallet, it's an entire flood damaged, written off vehicle with unknown damage to running gear. There is a chance that everything is fine but you won't know until you open it up. You also need to ask yourself if you want to keep a progressively stripped car in your yard for years on the off you need parts. I agree with other people in this thread. It's not worth it for parts or for the risk of unseen damage. Like my wife just said, "Ten grand is a lot of parts".
  4. I have a corsair rm1000 psu so that's all good for this setup. I have read that the memory controller in the i7 4790k's is "weak" and it's hit and miss if you can actually get your ram to run over 1600Mhz which is what the cpu is rated to handle. Heat wise it's ok and rarely sees more than 75 degrees while gaming.
  5. Yep I did that. Everything is up to date. It ran on a couple of 8 gig sticks at 2100 for about 8 months with the cpu at 4.8 and was fine. Then I tried pushing it to 5.0 and it didn't like it. Memtest failures left and right. I swapped the ram to 4x8gig sticks rated to 2400 and couldn't get them to run at 2400 no matter what. The best result I've come to is 4.6 on the cpu and 2100 on the ram. It'll run 4.8@2100 for days on end but as soon as I start gaming it says nope. It also says nope to 2400 on the ram regardless of cpu frequency and despite voltages and timings. I've tried upping voltages for the memory controller and it doesn't help. I'm no guru but I've researched and fiddled for days on end and can't find a fix so I've settled for 4.6 and 2100. Imo it's either the cpu or the mobo that is saying no.
  6. My memory is rated to 2400 but it won't run there no matter what I do. It seems like the best compromise where I have it all set now.
  7. Whoops I was running the gpu z render test in the background with those scores! I'm sure it didn't affect it much.
  8. I'm not a lawyer but between foi, a civil suit against the thieves and representing yourself, you will get every single detail/evidence about the other party that the government/police has.
  9. Sweet. I'm pretty sure my first scores were about this. I ran mine stock this evening and got this http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/16326110? I tried some oc'ing and got this http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/16326282? +80 on core for a total of 1534 Mhz and +575 on memory for 4179Mhz. I have had a better result but not many gains for a lot more heat and stress. I think my mobo has issues for other reasons. I was considering another 980 ti but after having 2 r9 290x's in crossfire (over 18000 in firestrike) I felt wary about an sli or crossfire config as there was constant stuttering and crashing issues. I think I'll wait a few generations before I upgrade again.
  10. Oh and the best part about those trolleys is the locked rear wheels so they are super easy to steer when loaded up.
  11. All good mate. They are easy to work on and you should have no trouble working out what you need to do with your fan.
  12. They are two spot trolleys and they don't have a baby capsule that I've seen. It's good that they are larger because we generally fill at least one and sometimes two depending on what we are getting. Toilet paper, washing powder and cat food takes up a lot of room in one trolley! I'm not sure that we could use two for a while as we have to carry the little one until she can sit (down, shut up) and hold on.
  13. I paid $1.19 on Saturday for 98 at the same servo. 91 octane varies from $1.05/L to $1.35/L lately in S.A. We generally add 15 cents/L for 98.
  14. I should have clarified, the $500 I mentioned was the price of the bushes and one hours labour.
  15. Free chicken you say. I would be having chicken smoothies for breakfast at that price!
  16. @BAXRTUTE Here's that stock I'm making. It's got a chicken carcass, a couple of onions, a couple of carrots, half a dozen cloves of garlic, some peppercorns, thyme, rosemary, 3 bay leaves, parsley and some celery salt. Topped it up with water and see how it goes. Smells great already. I add some to cooked white rice and the kids go nuts for it.
  17. That would work. It wouldn't take long to swap the bushes if the cradle was on a trailer or the back of a ute. If you go that way make sure you take the diff out too so the tool can be used on the bushes. That'll cost you less than $500.
  18. That wont be fitted, last I checked it was $1500 fitted. You're going to pay around $1000 for supply and fit for aftermarket bushes anyway. I paid $390ish for bushes and the tool was $480 delivered so any way you look at it you're paying $870 if you went that way.
  19. Lol it's only 1pm. I'll wait until at least quarter past.
  20. Me cook, kids asleep and school then me clean. Better? Edit: Whoops I thought you meant me. Edit2: Nah no jocks mate, only the missus is here (apart from sleeping kids) so just me bday suit.
  21. Hey @BAXRTUTE I'm just about to make some chicken stock in the pressure cooker. The oldest boy is at school, the other has one day a week in care (today), the oldest daughter has just gone down for her midday nap and the baby is asleep. Woohoo! It's almost like I don't have any kids! Now I can do some housework!!! Hoofarkenray!!!
  22. I'm happy with my aftermarket polylast bushes although I haven't had them in long. I bought a tool and chucked them in when the father in law was over. This is the centre bush and these are the side ones. From what I gather you'd be nuts to fit stock bushes to a tuned car. You'll tear them in no time with a manual car that's driven hard. I'd only consider going to a twin bush hat at this point if my bolt or hat broke (from drag racing) which is unlikely to happen in a street driven auto.
